Bidding Terms & Conditions:
1. Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you win, you must pick up your item(s) or make shipping arrangements.
2. If you default on your purchase, your bidding privileges will be revoked permanently. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.
3. If you bid, you MUST be available, or arrange for, the pick-up of your purchases on the pick-up date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements.
4. The full address for pick-up will be on winning bidders' invoices.
5. Bring necessary tools and help for pick-up. Loading help is NOT available. Items may be located on a 2nd floor, basement or outbuilding.
6. Invoices are emailed to winning bidders once the sale has completely closed. Full payment must be made by date/time listed on your invoice.
To make your payment: log into your CTBids account, locate your unpaid invoice under the My Account screen, and click “checkout.” Click the button to pay via PayPal. Payments must be made via PayPal either with an account or as a ‘guest’ on PayPal with a credit or debit card. Please do NOT pay with a linked checking account, “eCheck,” or money loaded into your account, as those methods of payment can delay the processing of funds.
7. If we do not hear from you by the payment deadline, your items will be resold and your bidding privileges will be revoked.
8. SHIPPING: Shipping is available at the buyer's expense including a $10/lot handling fee. Please see Shipping Terms for additional details. NOT ALL LOTS CAN BE SHIPPED.
9. All items must be paid for before they are picked up or shipped. Items to be shipped cannot be removed from the location without payment. If total payment is not received before pick-up, items will be forfeited, and bidding privileges revoked.
10. The exact address of the pick-up will be on the invoice e-mailed after the auction goes offline.
11. All items not picked up during the scheduled pick-up time will be considered abandoned and will be donated or resold.
12. A 15% Buyer's Premium and Sales Tax will be added to the final bid amount when invoiced.
13. We have made every effort to describe lot items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. Electronics have been plugged in and turned on, but not tested. Dimensions given may be approximate.
14. Questions: ALL questions about items including flaws, originality of artwork, quality of jewelry, etc. MUST be asked BEFORE bidding. If an item has been shipped to you and you have any questions or concerns, you MUST report this within two (2) days. All of the jewelry items we sell are antique, vintage, and pre-owned. That means they had a life before we found them, and they may show evidence of that previous life, signs of wear, dents, scratches, oxidation, broken stones, etc. We strive to be accurate and transparent in our descriptions of these pieces. Please check the description for the item and feel free to email us with any questions. We are not professional jewelers or gemologists. Due to the high quality of laboratory-made stones and the influx of fake jewelry we try our best to accurately describe the pieces in our jewelry items but cannot absolutely guarantee them. We celebrate aging. In ourselves, and in our jewelry. We want the true age of the piece to be represented, so we do not perform any type of cleaning or polishing. If the item is oxidized when we acquire it, that is precisely how you will receive it. Nothing is chemically tested or inspected by a professional jeweler.
