Listing Terms and Conditions
EVERY lot begins at $1 with NO RESERVES. Auction closes on 05/05 beginning at 7:00 p.m. CDT.

This auction’s pickup event will be Saturday afternoon on May 8th in Woodway, TX 76712. All winning bidders are required to schedule a pickup appointment via a Sign Up Genius link that will be provided on your invoice. The exact address will be available in the confirmation email you receive after you submit your chosen pickup slot. This property is a small house on a street with limited parking.

We are running our auctions longer to better protect our Patrons, Clients and Staff as it was necessary to implement a temporary suspension on all in-person Auction Preview events. Please ask specific questions about items of interest early. As the population percentage of those vaccinated increases, the previews will return.

Auction Bidding Terms & Conditions:

Bidding: Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you are the winning bidder—by placing that bid—you commit to purchasing and picking up your item(s) or making shipping arrangements and timely paying for shipping. Therefore, before you bid, you MUST be available to pick up your purchases on the scheduled pickup date unless you have made prior shipping arrangements. A “proxy bid” is your maximum bid on a lot in an auction. Maximum bids are never published, and as others submit their bid on one of your desired items, your bid (if greater than another’s) automatically increases only to the minimum amount necessary to remain the high bidder—up to your maximum bid.
Buyer’s Premium: A 15% buyer’s premium will be added to every winning bid. An 8.25% sales tax must be collected on your winning bid unless we have your tax exemption copy on file.
Soft auction close: When bidding very near to an auction’s closing time, you may notice a "soft close" feature in CT Bids. Presently this feature adds one minute of time to the item’s closing minute if a new bid is received in those final seconds. This time allows for all interested bidders to consider a higher bid—as is similar at a live auction. But we strongly encourage you to trust the proxy-bid feature and enter your highest bid early. We have no control over this platform and are not privy to see or at any time access the highest bids entered.
Default: Your bidding privileges may be revoked if: 1) you default on your purchase, or 2) you fail to pick up your item(s). Before you bid, you MUST be able to timely pay for and available to pick up your purchases on the scheduled pickup date (unless you are making shipping arrangements). Please do not bid if you cannot honor your commitment.
Invoices: After auction ends, all invoices will be sent out via your CT Bids account and personal email after the entire auction event has completely closed. This allows us to group multiple wins on one invoice. PLEASE READ THE INVOICE. A convenient payment link will be included, and payment is due immediately upon receipt of the invoice. You can pay with a major credit card via our PayPal link (even if you have no PP account). If we do not receive your payment by the published deadline, you will be in default. Your items will be resold to another bidder and your bidding privileges may be revoked.
Pick Up: Our COVID-19 protocol during pickup will be on your invoice. The exact address of the pickup will be on the invoice. Local pick up is always preferred; however, shipping is available for most items at the buyer's expense. If you require shipping, please send an email to JNorris@CaringTransitions.com so we know not to expect you. All items must be paid in full before they are removed, packed or shipped. Carefully adhere to the posted pickup date and times; there will be no routine alternative pickup dates.* Please bring necessary tools, paper, boxes, etc., to include physical help when picking up large/heavy items. Loading assistance is NOT available. Some items may be located on a 2nd floor or inside an out building, and this will be noted in the applicable lot’s description. Any items not picked up during the scheduled pickup time will be considered abandoned and will be resold or donated. If you are coming from a great distance, contact: NRavenstar@CaringTransitions.com for additional pertinent information.
We are not experts in anything; however, we make conscionable effort to describe items as accurately as possible. Expect normal signs of wear, to include fleabites and fractures, associated with antiques, vintage and used items, so you may rejoice where there are none! We make note of major flaws when visible but do not presume to list every flaw. All items, to include those NIB, are considered “used” and are sold AS IS; no refunds are made nor returns accepted. Caring Transitions does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch and/or electronic or mechanical device. Given dimensions may be closely approximated as certain situations demand but will be reasonable.
Shipping: Please review our shipping details published below every auction item’s description, and contact us before you bid if shipping an item to you is necessary to confirm that it WILL ship. Although we endeavor to note in the item description when it will not ship, there are circumstances when this gets omitted. Even so, we may not accept responsibility for packing/shipping what we deem to be very fragile, very large or unusually shaped items, so third party “pack-n-ship” companies will be recommended. After your sale invoice is paid, you will receive a separate invoice for shipping and handling charges after the auction’s pickup date. We never ship heavy electronics, furniture, or major appliances.

* Although there will be no routine alternative pickup dates, we care about the safety of others. Therefore, in the rare event that an officially posted lockdown or weather warning is in effect for the pickup area and noted times, e.g., flash flooding or tornado warnings, pickup may be postponed by a day or a week until the following weekend. In this event, adequate notice will be sent via email, text and/or phone call.
