TAG SALE: For those of you who have never attended an estate/tag sale, here are a few things you need to know.
First, this is an in the home tag sale -in other words - everything in the house is tagged and priced. This is not an auction. When you enter the home, you are free to purchase any and everything in the home at the price shown on each of the items. Every item in the home will be priced. There is no haggling on prices.

SIGNING IN: The sale will start at 8:30 am. A sign up sheet will be posted at the front day the morning of the sale. When you arrive, sign the sheet on the door and stay on the premises until numbers for entry are given out at 8:00 am. If you sign the sign-up sheet - regardless of WHEN you signed it, you are obligated to stay on the premises until the door opens for the sale. If you sign and leave, your name will be removed from the list and you will have to re-sign once you return. No exceptions! Please sign your name only - do not sign for family members or friends who have yet to arrive at the sale.

PAYMENTS ACCEPTED: We accept the following means of payment: Cash, Checks (with two forms of identification), and charge cards. A 3% fee will be added to all purchases made with a charge card. All checks must have the following information: phone numbers of home, cell and place of business, current address and driver's license number. NO other checks will be accepted. There will be a $50.00 check fee for all returned checks - regardless of reason. Those returned checks not made good within a 7 days period from notification, will be turned over to the Attorney Generals office and your check will be posted at all future sales until said check is paid in full.

SOLD STICKERS: You are welcome to use your own sold stickers - even though our workers are there in each of the rooms to mark things for you - but your sold stickers must have you name and phone number on each sticker. If a sold sticker appears on an item and we cannot identity the owners within a few minutes, we will remove the sticker and the item returns to the active sale. Make sure you want to purchase and item because if you mark something sold, it is yours! There will be no removing of sold stickers once they are placed on an item! If you have questions, please see one of the workers.

EARLY SALES/PREVIEW: There are NO early sales and NO previews of the sale. Pictures and descriptions are on the web and should you have a question, please feel free to contact me via the website to answer any questions you might have concerning a particular piece. If you see anything in the pictures, rest assured that those items WILL be at the sale when we open up. Our workers are not allowed to buy anything from our sales until after the doors have been open for at least 2 hours. We want everyone to have a fair and equal chance of purchasing anything that has been advertised and photographed on the website .

BIDS: On the first day of the sale, a customer can leave a written bid, offering at least 60% of the asking price. The bid sheets are located at each of the cashier's tables. These bids are sealed and opened by me at the end of the first day of the sale. I do not reveal anyone's bid so please do not ask me to do so. The winning bidder will be notified by 6:00 Monday night. The winning bidder must return the second day to pay for the item they bid on. I will only notify the winning bidder.

HELP IN LOADING: We do have a couple of on site people to aid you in loading your furniture items - but they WORK FOR TIPS! If you do not plan on tipping them, then do not ask them to help you! And, please leave them a LEGITIMATE tip, based on what they helped you load. Fifty cents and a dollar are not a legitimate tip. We also have a moving company available to help you with larger items. His name is Jeff Boswell - and should you need his services, you can contact me during the sale - I will contact him for a price he will charge you to deliver your piece(s).

FINALLY: We are not responsible for accidents- nor is the home owner. Please enter the sale at your own risk - paying attention to the caution signs posted all around the home.

This is a 5,000 square foot two story house with a huge double garage and a huge outbuilding PACKED!  We have been working on this sale for over three weeks.  Closer to the sale, I will give instructions as to entry to the property (there is a gate) as well as instructions on where to park = or more importantly, where NOT to park. A brief description follows:

 

INFORMATION FOR ENTERING THE PREMISES:  There is a gate at the entrance of the property - access only by the code.  You are asked to park along the street outside of the gate - the sign-up sheet will be posted at the gate.  Please sign the list and one of the workers will open the gate at 7:00.  ONLY STAFF FOR THE SALE WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARK ON THE DRIVEWAY INSIDE THE GATE - Once you have purchased items, we will have a car and a golf cart available to load your items and transfer them to your vehicle.  You are allowed to drive onto the property to pick up and load your purchases- our workers will help monitor the flow of traffic coming in and going out.  PLEASE honor our system for this sale - it is as hard on us as it is on you!!

Decorative Accessories:  Two very nice room size oriental rugs; paintings; prints; lamps (many pairs), wall sconces; pair of large Chinese vases; art glass; mirrors; several mounted deer heads; a large turkey and a bob cat; huge amount of Arthur Court including bowls and trays; lots of wine glasses and bar ware; several sets of silverplate flatware; scatter rugs; books; a Wurlitzer CD playing juke box;  lots of miscellaneous bric brac.

 

Household Items:  There is a tremendous amount of costume jewelry - three tables of items individually priced along with at least 50 bags of nice jewelry; a large amount of bed, bath and table linens; copper items; a large amount of women's clothing (most still with tags), shoes, purses and two furs from Henig Furs; men's clothing;  a large amount of collectible dolls (including Diana); a large Mosler safe (combination - we have); small tools; some 1930's pottery; again, too much to list.

 

Patio and Yard:  A very nice patio table and chairs; several nice metal bamboo tables and chairs; large concrete planters; plant stands, lots of miscellaneous.

 

Large Outbuilding:  There is a huge outbuilding packed with Christmas, seasonal items; a huge amount of miscellaneous prints, a large assortment of small kitchen appliances; lots of table linens (runners, napkins, etc), a few pieces of small furniture; a mix of a little of everything.

 

UPDATE:  WEDNESDAY, JULY 7

 

I have just posted pictures of the many items located in the large outbuilding as well as the enclosed garage.  As you can see, these pictures indicate the sheer volume of items belonging to the estate which we have had to spread out to the outer building. 

 

LOCATED IN THE OUT BUILDING includes:  a large amount of kitchen items including many small electrical appliances, kitchen nic nacs, cookware, as well as a huge amount of Christmas and Seasonal items - also lots of framed pictures, tools, dolls (others are located in the home) - the attached, enclosed garage also shows many items including the safe, table linens, etc.  

 

Since there are so many items located in the outbuilding at the rear of the property, we will have a golf cart available to aid you in transporting your purchases from that building to the cashiers.  We also have on site men who will aid you in getting your vehicle onto the property in order to load your purchases.  AGAIN, I must state that under no circumstances can a vehicle drive over the grass.  There are sprinkler heads lining the entire driveway as well as throughout the lawn.

Large Outbuilding:  There is a huge outbuilding packed with Christmas, seasonal items; a huge amount of miscellaneous prints, a large assortment of small kitchen appliances; lots of table linens (runners, napkins, etc), a few pieces of small furniture; a mix of a little of everything.

I have just posted pictures of the many items located in the large outbuilding as well as the enclosed garage.  As you can see, these pictures indicate the sheer volume of items belonging to the estate which we have had to spread out to the outer building. 

 

LOCATED IN THE OUT BUILDING includes:  a large amount of kitchen items including many small electrical appliances, kitchen nic nacs, cookware, as well as a huge amount of Christmas and Seasonal items - also lots of framed pictures, tools, dolls (others are located in the home) - the attached, enclosed garage also shows many items including the safe, table linens, etc.  

 

Since there are so many items located in the outbuilding at the rear of the property, we will have a golf cart available to aid you in transporting your purchases from that building to the cashiers.  We also have on site men who will aid you in getting your vehicle onto the property in order to load your purchases.  AGAIN, I must state that under no circumstances can a vehicle drive over the grass.  There are sprinkler heads lining the entire driveway as well as throughout the lawn.
