2001 Glastar Experimental Aircraft (Airplane)

Up for auction is 2001 Glastar Experimental Amateur Built Aircraft, as shown in the pictures. This aircraft has been sitting idle for the past 18-24 months. We did turn the prop to ensure the engine was free, and had no issues doing so. The engine was overhauled in 2018. The tires are dry rotted, and everything is dusty from sitting. The annual inspection is 1-2 years past. The dash was in the middle of an upgrade with a IFR dash package when all work stopped, so it will need to be finished and verified for flight. This aircraft holds two persons, and we were told was a good flyer. Buyer will be required to sign a “Documentation of release” for this aircraft before or upon pickup, I can email you a copy in advance if needed.

Project aircraft that was being fitted for research data collection. The project was canceled before completion. Aircraft has sat for 1.5 years. Lycoming 0320. Experimental Sensenich CF Prop. Dynon and avidyne panel were in process of being installed at the time of the project termination. Aircraft for sale as is, where is. Not airworthy. Aircraft cannot be test run or flown. Visual inspection only, within reason. Aircraft shall NOT be dismantled prior to sale. Serial Number - 5640 Location - KVIH, Rolla MO TSMOH - Airframe hrs - 567

This aircraft is located at an offsite location from campus, at the Rolla National Airport, about 15 miles from our address. This aircraft was used for a research mapping project and shows wear inside and out for that type environment. You should expect paint fading, and dusty from sitting idle for the past 18-24 months. We have provided pictures of what we have noted by walking around the aircraft one time, there may be more that was missed, so please make your own inspection. The purchaser should expect to take full responsibility in moving this aircraft from it’s current location. It is highly recommended that you view this aircraft in person before bidding.
