Trafford, Pa. 15085 Bidding begins to close Thursday, January 27th at 6P.M. 2022 Pickup is Friday, January 28th. from 2P.M.-5P.M. 2022 located at 5012 Baker School Rd. Trafford, Pa. 15085 We are excited and proud to offer via online auction the collection of Westmoreland glass from the Estate of Ernie Brown. Head decorator for Westmoreland Glass Co. from 1971 until its closing. Mr. Brown started at Westmoreland Glass in 1959. He became the last head decorator for Westmoreland Glass in 1971. He’s most identified with the ruby floral design and many of the Mary Gregory Style designs. He trained a wealth of decorators who worked for Westmoreland and created many of the designs that were then mass produced as decals. Other patterns included, daisies, bi-centennial, and Christmas. After Westmoreland closed he went to work for Bob Rupp at Treasured Editions, and then did work for Rosso’s, in addition to hundreds of custom commissioned pieces. This online auction features 400 LOTS including many fine decorated pieces both during Westmoreland glass Production & items decorated by Ernie post Westmoreland Glass. Several sample pieces & unusually decorated items. Many signed & dated pieces by Ernie during Westmorelands run. Also a selection of Westmoreland & other non Westmoreland glass items decorated by Ernie after the closing of Westermoreland Glass. Also Fenton animals, Bryce, many blanks, original Westmoreland decals, rare & original decorators outline stamps including Ernie Brown & Don Green signature stamps. A fine selection of beautifully decorated & other glassware from the most well known decorator of Westmoreland glass. Also some very nice decorated pieces from other Westmoreland decorators.
