This adventure begins with a homage to the homeowner, J. Peter Mitchell; his photographs will whisk you away to the places he found inspiring. Nothing says beauty like Italian design: the B&B Italia Baisity collection by Antonio Citterio won the prestigious Compasso d’ oro award in 1987. It's the highest honor in the industrial designing circle in Italy, as famous as international awards like the Red Dot. This oxblood leather wrapped living room set has linen cushions and is now a vintage collectible. 

Antoine Proulx sounds foreign but this luxury American company has routes in craftsmen furniture. Antoine Proulx furniture is meant to be handed down to future generations. This coffee table and pair of end tales were customized in American black walnut with a metal frame in a bronze finish and are still being produced today.

Charles Mackintosh Rennie is perhaps Scotland's most famous architect and a pioneer of modernism. The first major private commission in Mackintosh's career was for Catherine Cranston, a Glasgow-based businesswoman, to create furniture for her for Argyle Street Tearoom. He designed for the project the Argyle Chair, a high-backed chair for the Luncheon Room that aimed to held provide a more intimate dining experience for diners. This set of ten Argyle dining chairs are an authorized reproduction, made in Italy, by Alivar.
