This week’s sale events; the family has asked that ALL of you who may have known Dee resist the urge to stop by the house and visit before the sale as they will not have the time to chat but are more than happy to speak to you during the sale…so please refrain from stopping by prior to our sale hours.

Boxlot will be 12noon-2pm on Saturday $5 fills a box
Free items will be given at 2pm on Saturday from the driveway on the side of the house.
This is the BEST sale we have ever had to offer you hands down…don’t miss it!!!

Our sale this week will last a whopping three days.There is no possible chance of us emptying this huge hoard in less than three days and that’s with each and every one of the crew working each day of the week restocking and unpacking all of the boxes that have been sitting stagnant for so many years.

Dee The Hardware Lady
Dee was born in Mexico and was 1/12 lbs at birth.
She came to California in a covered wagon and was once chased by a chicken that was bigger than she was.
Growing up in the depression she learned how to save and reuse everything. She loved repairing and refinishing and refurbishing anything old and from “when things were well made and lasted.”

We used to go to the Gerber Dump every week to find a chair, table, frame or little box she could fix and sell. She raised my sisters and I on these treasures and her skill and knowledge grew. These artifacts; large, small, dirty, rusty and worn, surrounded us our whole lives and we grew to
love them and hate them.

Now that she is gone at 95 years of age, the vast array of items display history, memories, struggles and victories and all of her
passion for what she was doing.
I hope everyone who comes to her Grand Estate Sale (and memorial) will remember her with kindness and appreciate her life’s treasures; many of them not seen by anyone but herself until now. 
Come by and say hello and pick out some treasures that appeal to you.
