Antique French and American firearms:

Check out this beautiful example of a high art double barrel Damascus shotgun, circa 1850. Possibly exhibited by Brun at the Exposition Universelle of 1867, this piece features a highly engraved barrel, stock, breech, frame and trigger guard with have gold and silver inlays and figural engraving. Parisian gunmakers consistently employed the finest contemporary designers, silversmiths, sculptors, and engravers to transform functional hunting and target weapons into works of art.

Additional firearms include antique French Dueling Pistols, G. Couclet A. Liege and percussion American long rifle with H. Elwell Warranted lock.

Original art featuring Keith Jacobshagen, American b. 1941. This piece, Farm at Waverly, is dated 1977, and is an excellent depiction of how Jacobshagen celebrates landscape in a manner reminiscent of the early Dutch masters; see the trademark low horizons and wide, dominant skies.

Karel Appel, b.1921, print. Appel was a Dutch painter, sculptor, and poet and was one of the founders of the avant-garde movement in 1948.

Joan MIro color lithograph, Violet Jaune, created to appear in the publication “Derriere le Mirroir” , no. 125, April 1961. This print is from an edition print by Miro’s publisher Maeght, the blind stamp “Maeght Editeur Paris” appears in the lower left corner.
