Public Auction 3-Story Building on Main Street 500 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana On part of lots 44 & 45 in Thomas Addition, Brookville, IN (At the corner of 5th and Main near Brookville Theater) Thursday, September 15 2022 5:30 PM This is one of the most unique original buildings on Main Street. According to The Assessors report card, it was built in 1840 with 3 Stories (ceiling heights range from 12' to 16' w/ 1880 square feet on each level. It has 2 half bathrooms on each floor and has been used as a bank, dance studio, attorneys office and an insurance office. The first floor has at least 2 huge vault safes that were originally used by the bank. There are 2 entrances off of Main Street (one for the main entrance and one for the upper stories) plus one additional entrance to the first floor on 5th street. Two stained glass archway windows were removed, but remain in the basement and are included with the property. Auctioneers Note: The Franklin County Farmers Mutual Insurance Company has very generously decided to donate the proceeds of this auction to the Franklin County 4-H building fund.
