This estate sale is from the home of Springfield residents, Willy & Irmgard Marick who immigrated from Germany in the 1950’s to Springfield. He was a local contractor as well as an avid carver who belonged to the Sangamon Valley Woodcarver’s group. He also loved to paint, especially scenes from his native Germany. Mrs. Marick was a member/volunteer/floral crafter at Lincoln Memorial Gardens. Mr. & Mrs. Marick were charter members of D.A.N.K (German-American Club in Springfield). Many German books and other memorabilia will be available. This is an interesting display of Mid- Century Modern Furniture, carvings, paintings and much more.
