RARE OPPORTUNITY!  The Estate of Joe Ruiz Grandee                       Joe is a true Texas and National Legend. His accomplishments are staggering as one of the nations most important Western Artist. Another National legacy is his important and HUGE collection of Native American, Civil War, Western Era ARTIFACTS of all kinds. This collection was once described by the Smithsonian Institution as likely the Most Important Collection in the United States.

  There will be offered for sale, many originals from the Grandee estate. This will include MAJOR oils, watercolors, some unfinished but amazing pieces as well. Mr Grandee was a prolific artist whose work spans in excess of 60 years of work.

  Some of the Estate Provenance includes commissions from LBJ for his Daughters wedding at the White House. I will include photos of this event as he presents the painting to President Johnson and his family in the White House Ballroom.

 There are many other MAJOR owners of Mr Grandee's works including President RONALD REAGAN, Senators and Congressmen from the United States and Texas Senate and House of Representatives.

  Works are presented to many Movie Stars and major collectors around the world. The provenance section in the photos below will give you a good idea.

  Known as the "KING of COVERS" many works of Mr Grandee's grace the covers of many western magazines. None more than many covers for TRUE WEST MAGAZINE.

  Joe Ruiz Grandee is in the COWBOY HALL OF FAME with many more significant ties with the Marine Corp, Texas Rangers, served for one year as the OFFICIAL ARTIST of TEXAS and MUCH MORE.

*Jewelry Collection of personal silver (many American Indian) turquoise Belt Buckles, Bolos, Rings, Necklaces, Bracelets and much more. Worn by Mr Grandee in many of his photos.

 DOZENS of the authentic and rare RIFLES, PISTOLS, SWORDS and KNIVES  will be in the sale

*Replica Guns and many antique toy guns will be offered.

*Model kits of many types are also in the sale

*There is a HUGE selection of unique and rare Frames to look through. There are hundreds of canvasses, artist watercolor boards, and oil boards for sale. There is a selection of fantastic brushes as well. Artist easels and other items used by Mr Grandee will also be available.

  This is only some of the items available. We do not have a finished inventory of what will be in this sale. The Estate is MUCH too big to be liquidated in one sale. Part 2 will be coming soon.
