ESTATE AUCTION

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 24, 10:00am,

1835 SOUTH PLEASANTS HIGHWAY, ST. MARYS WV

From the intersection of WV Route 2 and the Ohio River Bridge in St. Marys, Continue South on Route 2 for 3/4 miles. Sale is on the left. Watch for signs.

Selling household furnishings and personal property from the home of the late Bob Gessner, well known resident of St. Marys, and remaining items from the estate of the late Gerald Bills. Sale will also contain items from local storage unit.

There is a very large variety of items in this sale, most of which are top quality and in good condition. Categories include: Antique , Vintage, and contemporary furniture, collectible and utility glassware, power & hand tools, art & decorator items, lawn & garden tools & accessories, kitchen cookware, and a large selection of top quality vintage & contemporary Stereophonic & Video equipment & accessories including Bose, Onkyo, JVC, Symphonic, Yamaha, Technics, plus rare set of vintage "Advent Legacy" Speakers.

AUCTIONEERS NOTE: I will be adding pictures to the gallery up until 1 week prior to the sale, and more specific listings or descriptions. Approaching 50 years doing auctions and growing  up with technology from reel-reel tape recorders to voice activated environments, I  thought I was fairly well versed in audio-visual technology; that is before we started moving things from Bob's home. I have never seen a more coordinated musical environment with higher quality sound equipment. I also researched  the 2 Analog speaker columns I found wrapped carefully in the garage (not in use) and was surprised at their scarcity and the asking price.  Also, I might add for the record: "The King bedroom suite is a "Dandy!"

TERMS OF SALE: Cash, Check with good I.D., or Major Credit Card.

 AUCTIONEERS: Jim Buck WV# 271, Lowell Goff WV#330, & Emmit Allen WV#1038

AUCTION UPDATE:

I labeled most of the pictures for this sale, so instead of more specific listing, I am adding some comments that may be helpful. I featured the King Bedroom suite, but in addition be sure to check-out the 5 pc Queen French provencial Bedroom Suite. It is in very good condition and would enhance any bedroom. We have yet a third bed (California King) sized in between the King & queen. It is in excellent condition and has a 2 part folding frame that is easy to set up anywhere. I can't say enough for the Sterophonic equipment. It is vintage and contemporary, and there is a bunch of it mostly top quality. The Onkyo 2 channel Home Theater receivers have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Chromecast built in. We left the cables plugged in the back (pictured in the Gallery), and  I would estimate the cables alone as a $75-$100.00 value. There is so much in this sale that we will be selling many items in large lots all the Board Games on the shelf, and the mass of cleaning and pest control products by the large box load. The Snow Blower is both Electric and Manual (pull) start. The Ryobi 40 volt lawnmower doesn't have the battery in the Mower case.we assumed the client keptout of the mower on the charger but we could'nt find it. The battery and charger for this machine sell for $70.00. The mower new sells for $699.95 so there is a lot of room for someone to get a good deal. These machines run ultra quiet and they cut well.. The "Three Bears" tree sculpers (probably done with a chain saw) are interesting works of Mountain Art, and the Turtle & Frogs are solid concrete so if you run over one with your car the only damage will be Ti-Rod ends for the car. The hand painted Vintage lamps (beautiful) are very likely by Fenton Art Glass painters because Fenton made many items for Si Wright art glass in New Martinsville from his own molds. The framed Budweiser swamp pictures with the Alligator and frogs are "Limited Editions with certifications on the back of the pictures. I don't know the age of the Samsung Heavy Duty washer & dryer but they look almost new. They will be sold as a matching pair. The "Fender Harmonics" guitars are wired for the X Box 360 Stratocaster rock band guitar game. I could go on, and on with descriptions of items but will instead use the "time honored" or worn-out expression "Something for Everyone" in this sale including 2 "top of the line" Studio Pianos (Baldwin & Story-Clark) which I cannot believe are still in-tune after being moved......but they are.

Sale is indoors so come rain, shine, or snow. Snacks & Toilets available. All items are sold "as is where is". Announcements day of sale take precedence over all other information printed or otherwise conveyed. Lots and ordere of sale are at the Auctioneers' discretion. All sales are final. Item descriptions and information regarding cndition are from sources assumed to be reliable, but not guarenteed by Auctioneers. If you cannot haul all of your purchases Day of sale due to weather or cargo space, some may be left in sale building at your own risk feor pick-up at a later date within two weeks. For questions or further information call: 304-684-3793.
