This is a historical Sale! The original owner, Frank Steet Black, used this property as his summer estate. He was born in Limington Maine in 1853 and lived in Limington ME, Alfred ME, Limerick ME, and Lebanon ME, before becoming the Govenor of NY. His final resting place is this picturesque estate in Freedom NH. His family owned the estate until present family, the Watts, bought it from Black’s decedents and have lived there themselves for 3-4 generations. Every generation has left things behind.  Now we have been asked to do not one but two sales for the family. 

 

This first sale will include 8 rooms of the original estate, the basement, as well as the first floor of the barn. In the Spring, items in 2 large 2 story barns along with items from other buildings on the estate will be sold. 

 

This first sale includes, Gold, Silver, jewelry, Tiffany, Cartier, Steuben, tiger maple period highboys, period card tables, dressing tables, cupboard, sewing tables, end tables, Danish sets of chairs, coffee tables, benches, modern living room furniture, china, flow-blue, bohemian glass, art glass, antique bottles, vintage clothing 1800’s - 1980’s, antique school bell, signs, early split rail Apple ladder, sleigh, old books, signed books, local New Hampshire & Maine books, vintage linens, lace, quilts, vintage wool blankets, coverlets, fabrics, vintage sports clothes & team sweaters, art work, paperweights, doorstop, lamps. A huge collection of lead toys, soldiers, vehicles, farm animals, circus animals, trains. Just some of so many beautiful things.  

 

Come as early as 7:00am to get a number. Doors open at 9:00.

Bring flashlights, boxes, bags, wrapping.  We do not provide them. 

Cash preferred.  NO pre-sales or early buyers. We do not calls or provide prices ahead of sale, you must be present.
