ALL OF THE FOLLOWING TERMS & CONDITIONS APPLY TO THIS SALE:

Specific Lot Descriptions: If you need additional information regarding any specific Lot in this sale, please email use at: AuctionLex@gmail.com. Ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Buyer is responsible for understanding all the deadlines, rules and terms for this sale.

Bidding Instructions: We have made every effort to describe all items as accurately as possible with any defects. Expect normal signs of wear associated with antiques, vintage and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS. No refunds or returns. CT does not guarantee the working order of any clock, watch, electronic or mechanical device. We will plug items in to make sure they turn on, but do not actually use them. Dimensions given may be approximate. Wood types can be tricky. We do the best we can to state a wood type. You will be responsible for looking closely at pictures or coming to Preview to confirm wood. We use the term 'silver' to describe the color/tone of an item or for silver plate. If an item is sterling silver, we will always use the word 'sterling' in the description. For gold we will post the kt, if it is real gold. Sometimes we will include comments, history or purchase information from the owner. We cannot authenticate the information they provide. The Preview has been scheduled so you may determine the condition of the product yourself. You are welcome to plug items in and test them. Please take advantage of this opportunity.

A bid is an agreement to purchase the item(s). You are committed to purchasing and picking up your winning item(s). Please do not bid, if you do not plan to purchase. Bidding privileges may be suspended if you default on this agreement. Note: The items in this auction are from a single estate. Lea Nugent is the KY Principal Auctioneer for this sale. All bidders must be at least 18 years old.

Payment: PLEASE do not generate your own invoice. Wait for us to send your invoice at the end of the auction. Your invoice is due immediately upon receipt. Click the Check-Out Button on your invoice. You will have the option of paying with debit card, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express) or through your PayPal account. Payment must clear within 48 hours of sending your electronic invoice. A 15% buyers premium and 6% KY sales tax will be added to each purchase. NOTE: out-of-state buyers are not required to pay KY sales tax as long as all items are shipped. Our regular shoppers with a good payment history, who want to pay with cash or check need to notify us by email. Any dealer who wishes to have tax removed from their invoice, must email us and provide both a copy of their tax exemption form and sign the KY Resale Tax Form. Email address is AuctionLex@gmail.com.

No Payment: If we have not received payment or heard from you within 48 hours of sending your invoice, you forfeit your right to the items and your name may be removed from our auction site. The KEY is to communicate with us, if you are having an issue. It is your responsibility to understand our rules and comply.

Paid/No Pick-up: If you pay for your items, but fail to make late pick-up arrangements by Pick-up Day, your items will be considered abandoned and no refund given. The items become the property of CT and may be resold or donated.

Alternate Pick-up: If you need to make alternate pick-up arrangements, please email us at AuctionLex@gmail.com within 48 hours of sending your invoice. Or if you have a last-minute emergency, email us. Caring Transitions is under no obligation to meet any special requests, but will do our best to assist you, as long as you communicate with us. There are fees for all alternate pick-ups.

Late Fees: ANY late pick-ups arranged on other days/times (even when you contact us) will incur the following late fees: $10 for up to 2 lots of small items and $20 for furniture or 3 or more small lots. CT has the right to charge more than $20 based on space requirements. This fee helps cover the cost of handling, storing your items and the extra effort it takes to make alternate arrangements. Late fees must be paid in cash at time of pick-up and will not be waived.

Pick-up Instructions: All pick-ups will take place at the house in Lexington, KY. The exact address will be given on your invoice. All items MUST be picked up during our scheduled Pick-Up – Saturday, Feb 6 from 10:00-2:00pm. If you have an emergency or scheduling conflict, you may make a reservation to pick your items up with no additional late fees on our Alternate Pick-up Day – Sunday, Feb 7 at 12:00pm. In case of bad weather (snow/ice) please check our Facebook Page (Caring Transitions Lexington). We will post alternate instructions there. This is the only other day that items may be picked up at the house with no late fees. You must make a reservation with us to pick-up on this day. The majority of pick-ups should take place on Thursday. Feel free to use our delivery services OR have a friend pick-up for you. Please see all alternate payment and pick-up instructions in the above Payment section.

NOTE - PLEASE BRING ENOUGH HELP TO LIFT, CARRY AND LOAD YOUR ITEMS. We will not have loading help on the premises. Please read about all LATE/STORAGE FEES above. These fees will not be waived.

Shipping - YES: Our shipping arrangements are simple, using a professional shipping company without a bunch of added fees. Warning - it is costly to ship furniture. Feel free to make alternate arrangements for a carrier of your choice to pick-up and ship your items. If shipping is desired, please email us at AuctionLex@gmail.com prior to auction close. We need to know that you will be using our shipping service or alternate shipping service if you win any lots. Our shipper will pick-up, pack, ship and bill for your items. The shipper will offer two quotes from the lowest cost carriers. We have gotten feedback that our shipper does excellent work packing breakables. Of course you do have to pay for bubble wrap and packing services. You may discuss shipping preferences directly with the shipper. There are no additional CT charges for this service, plus a 10% discount will be given on all shipping for this auction. Send shipping questions directly to the shipper at store5481@theupsstore.com or call them with specific questions at (859)543-0220. Here is how to get a shipping estimate on a specific Lot - either before the auction closes or after the auction ends: click on the ‘Email This Item’ icon above the gray bidding box and send the email to The UPS Store at store5481@theupsstore.com. Make sure you include your zip code in the email. This email will contain enough information for them to estimate size and weight. NOTE: We have found a lower-cost furniture shipper. If interested in having some furniture palletized and shipped, please send us an email.

Local Delivery - YES: We have also arranged a convenient and cost-effective delivery service. If you require delivery, please email us at AuctionLex@gmail.com prior to auction close. Basic delivery fees are $60 per delivery within Fayette County (up to 1 hour), +$20 for each additional county line. Extra fees for pianos, clocks, larger/heavy loads.

Shipping - YES: Our shipping arrangements are simple, using a professional shipping company without a bunch of added fees. Warning - it is costly to ship furniture.
