Bid now through Wednesday, February 12th at alderferauction.com. This auction will begin closing at 7:00 PM at a rate of 5 lots per minute.

Among the notable highlights is a work attributed to Camille Pissarro (1830-1903), an ink on paper town sketch dated 1860. The auction features significant American artists including John Fulton Folinsbee (1892-1972), represented by his 1939 work "Girl in Red Sweater," and Benton Murdoch Spruance (1904-1967), whose color lithograph "Low Entrance to a High Place" (1963) showcases his mastery of surrealist composition.

European masters are well-represented, including Jean Frederic Cazenave (1773-1884) with his engraving "Le Lion de Florence," and Willem Frederik Veldhuyzen (1814-1873) with Dutch seascapes. 

Asian art enthusiasts will appreciate works by renowned Japanese artists Utagawa Hiroshige and Utagawa Toyokuni, alongside contemporary Japanese artist Fumio Fujita (b.1933), represented by numbered woodblock prints from the 1960s.

The collection includes important Pennsylvania artists such as Frederick R. Wagner (1864-1940), Arthur Meltzer (1893-1989), and Nicola D'Ascenzo (1871-1954), whose stained glass studio design from 1958 represents an important piece of architectural history.

Contemporary art is represented by artists such as Michele Byrne (born 1959) and Rodger Lapelle (born 1936), whose works demonstrate the evolution of modern artistic expression. The auction also features works by significant female artists including Marguerite Stuber Pearson (1898-1978) and Florence Prince Ewing (20th c.).

Diverse mediums are represented throughout the collection, from traditional oils and watercolors to prints, etchings, and mixed media works.
