The toy collection includes several rare mechanical pieces, including a tin lithograph rabbit conductor with flocked head and period-appropriate fabric clothing, alongside a Daiya mechanical prancing horse toy that represents the golden age of mechanical playthings. For collectors of miniatures, the auction presents an array of dollhouse furnishings, including authentic cast metal kitchen implements such as coffee grinders, meat grinders, and detailed ceramic appliances. Adding to the domestic theme are vintage toy sewing machines, including models from Singer and Little Comfort, complete with original packaging for select pieces.
Transportation enthusiasts will appreciate the Rich's Little Milk Man wooden dairy wagon from Clinton, Iowa, and a tin lithograph battery-powered Pioneer Spirit covered wagon featuring a detailed two-horse team and driver. The collection also includes a Buddy L pressed steel pie wagon truck, showcasing the durability of mid-century toy manufacturing.
The textile portion of the auction features significant pieces including a Hudson Bay wool blanket with its distinctive black heading and four points, measuring 87 by 72 inches. Military collectors will note the presence of 1940s Australian army blankets and a Swiss army blanket, offering a glimpse into military textile history.
Western wear aficionados will find a selection of premium leather boots from renowned makers including Tony Lama, El Presidente, and Durango, primarily in sizes 10.5 to 11.5 EE. Each pair demonstrates the quality craftsmanship characteristic of these established brands.
The doll collection presents unique pieces including a Skookum mother and baby in traditional papoose style, an Italian-made jointed wooden Pinocchio, and a Mattel Skipper doll complete with additional clothing in its original packaging. United Features collectibles are represented by Charlie Brown and Linus figures.
Additional highlights include cast iron toy cookstoves with period-appropriate miniature cookware, brass candlesticks, and balance scales with weights. Domestic play items feature the Sunny Suzy toy wringer washing machine, accompanied by glass and metal washboards and vintage-style electric toy irons, representing the evolution of household appliances in miniature form.
