Ole Susannah's is having an Estate Sale this Weekend! This is the estate/moving sale of Dr. Max Funderburk and his precious wife, Pat. They have sold their beautiful home (It was on the market less than a week. Jan Mattingly is JUST THAT GOOD.) and have moved to Texas to be near their children. Max & Pat have been married for 62 years!!! Many of you will remember him as a Pediatric Dentist who practiced for over 40 years. My children and I just loved him. He has the most soothing voice and always swore he never gave shots. He really did give shots but was so gentle, the kids never knew. He and Ms. Pat look wonderful! I asked him this morning if he had a memorable story to share. His immediate response was to say that he had been so blessed to have been married to his best friend and the "young" lady in his life for all these years. As an afterthought, he reminded me that he was on active duty in 1956-58 in the US Air Force. We hate to see them leave our community but know their children will be so happy to have them near.
