BOY ARE WE ENDING THE YEAR WITH A BANG!!


Wiregrass Estate Sales is honored to have been chosen to liquidate the PHENOMENAL estate of a late retired Army Major and his lovely wife. He later was an instructor pilot and a civil service employee.  She was an Army wife, and a mother to six children.  As evident by the items in the estate, she was a BIG TIME entertainer and hostess!!  As instructed by the last will and testament, EVERYTHING in the estate is to be sold, nothing held back. The antiques are wonderful, the glassware and china are FINE, but the silver, oh the silver, YOU WILL NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYES!!  At least 75 pieces (not including flatware) of FINE European and American silver (not silverplate!), plus multiple set of sterling silver flatware.  Silver includes bowls, plates of every size including chargers, platters, wall chargers and bowls (yes!!), baskets, unique centerpieces, urns, pitchers, candleholders and candelabras, a set of OLD Reed & Barton Francis I, a set of Gorham Strasbourg, smaller sets of various patterns, serving pieces, cased sets of serving items, a great tea caddy, several early HEAVY repoussed boxes, and a HUGE pepper pot with cobalt liner that is the BEST ONE I HAVE EVER SEEN, plus much more!! Oh and the silverplated pieces are some of the finest examples that you will find, including a HUGE Reed and Barton hand-chased teaset with coffee pot, tea pot, hot water kettle, creamer, sugar, waste and platter, plus many, many other pieces of fine American and European silverplate. Furniture is very nice as well, plus 4 or 5 nice vintage mink coats, costume and real jewelry (killer pieces!!), OLD Meissen and Sevres figurines, cut glass, OLD Dresden figurines, great signed WMF pieces including a table with a silver top (first one that I have ever seen!),chandeliers, Annalee doll collection (big ones!), appliances, riding mower, beautiful needlepoint, patio furniture, and much much more!

**I am adding some "teaser" pictures of a few of my favorite pieces that we have unearthed so far! We will not start working on the sale until the second week of November, so I will update then!
