all media and data-containing devices contain personal identifying information and is compliant with
federal regulations governing: � HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996)
safeguards and protects the security and confidentiality of health information in any form or media;
electronic, paper or oral � FACTA (Fair and Accurate Credit Reporting Act) is intended primarily to
help consumers fight the growing crime of identity theft and reduce the risk of consumer fraud. �
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) protects the privacy of student education
records including name, SS#, DOB, address, grades, progress reports, or disciplinary action. � GLB
Act (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act) includes provisions to protect consumers� personal financial
information held by financial institutions, which include not only banks, securities firms, and
insurance companies, but also companies providing many other types of financial products and
