Advanced Native American Artifact Collection Auction
Online Auction will end Sunday, May 25th @ 9PM ET Featuring exceptional examples made of Dover chert, white / tallahatta quartzite, obsidian and other iconic regional materials. Many of the points have been classified and curated by source material or geographic origin, with a notable emphasis on the Southeastern U.S.—an area celebrated for its craftsmanship and rare lithics. A number of the artifacts trace back to renowned collectors such as Ralph Allen, Charles Dennison, James Ross Williams, Jr., John Cambron, David Hulse and others of similar stature—now deceased. Their legacy enhances the historical significance and integrity of this collection. The collection also includes an outstanding array of Celts, Gorgets, and Pendants, many accompanied by Certificates of Authenticity (CoAs) ensuring their verified origin and value along with trade beads and pottery. Approximately 23 pottery pieces are also included. These pieces reflect cultural and functional significance and represent both form and preservation quality. Most all the artifacts are housed in 45 finely crafted oak display cases made by Troy Futrell of Alabama, well-known for his quality workmanship and other makers. Each case includes its original key for secure storage and presentation. This collection represents a rare and significant opportunity for advanced collectors, institutions, and cultural historians to acquire some of the finest prehistoric material culture from the Southeastern United States. The scope, quality, and provenance of this offering are seldom seen in today's market.
