TERMS & CONDITIONS — Transitions Made Easy

Maintenance of Payment Information
In order to place a bid, you must have valid payment information stored in your profile. By providing your credit/debit card information to Transitions Made Easy, you irrevocably authorize us to charge your primary card on file for the total purchase amount of any winning bid, plus any applicable fees including but not limited to taxes, shipping, and handling.

Bidding Agreement
Placing a bid is an agreement to purchase. If you place a bid, you must be available or arrange for the pick-up of your purchases on the designated pick-up date unless prior shipping arrangements have been made. Failure to fulfill your purchase will result in permanent revocation of your bidding privileges. Do not bid if you do not plan to purchase.

Pick-Up Policy
All items not picked up during the scheduled time will be considered abandoned and may be donated or resold. Please bring necessary tools and help for pick-up. Loading assistance is NOT available. Items may be located on upper floors, in basements, or in outbuildings.

Receipts & Payments
Receipts are emailed to winning bidders after the auction closes. Full payment must be received within 24 hours or your items will be resold and your bidding privileges revoked. The full address for item pick-up will be listed on your invoice. If you don’t receive an invoice via email, please log into your HIBID and check under Invoices/Receipts.

Invoices under $5,000 will be automatically charged to the primary card on file. For invoices of $5,000 or more, a 10% deposit will be auto-charged. The remaining balance must be paid directly to Transitions Made Easy prior to item release. No items will be released without full payment.

Shipping
Shipping is available at the buyer’s expense, plus a one-time $8 handling fee per invoice. This fee covers packing for all items in that invoice. Note: Not all lots are eligible for shipping. Furniture, rugs, and other large items cannot be shipped. All items must be paid for in full before they can be picked up or shipped.

Buyer's Premium
A 21% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid amount.

Condition & Descriptions
We strive to describe all items accurately, but please expect normal wear and signs of age on antique, vintage, and used items. We do not list every flaw. All items are sold AS IS, WHERE IS. No refunds or returns. We do not guarantee the functionality of clocks, watches, electronics, or mechanical devices. Electronics may be plugged in and turned on, but are not fully tested. Dimensions provided are approximate.

Bid Retraction Policy
Bid retractions are allowed only in select circumstances and solely at our discretion. Bids cannot be retracted within 48 hours of auction closing. If you place an incorrect maximum bid, you have 2 hours to contact us for removal. Abuse of this policy may lead to account suspension.
