Listing Information

GovDeals is an Online Auction for Government Surplus – LOT#23398-63, Auction Ends 7/28/2025. To see full details, follow the link above.

This Autocar is an antique truck collectors dream.

Its interior shows like a one-year-old used truck, It wears most of its factory paint.

It’s never been used up, smoked in or abused.

Originally used by as an ammunition hauler in the mid-west on a government contract this truck lived a pampered life.

We think it was taken out of service in 1991 and placed into a warehouse.

The first time I saw the truck was in Indiana. I missed it by a day. In 2022 it turned up again in North Carolina for sale. This is the second one I have owned out of this same fleet.

It’s 400 Caterpillar runs flawless, it’s 13 speed transmission shifts perfect.

This truck could drive home with new tires, new brakes, a few wheel studs / Budd nuts and lug nuts, and an air bag.

I have multiple mobile services close to the beach that could do that for you.

The truck will drive onto a low boy with 2 hot batteries.

I have exhaust shielding that goes with this truck.

To sum up this truck, it could go back into service with very little investment.

These AT64F trucks are very collectible and were over built when new.

COLLECTORS NOTE - BODY MAN NOTE - Often called the German Peterbilt every angle is an eye full.

This truck like all AT64Fs that have some corrosion. It has the least of any AT64F that I have ever looked at. The cabs corrosion is on its firewall and windshield area. Both are easy repairs compared.

To AT 64F trucks I have owned in the past - The sleeper corrosion is under the sleeper. The hood is solid, but the hinges will need attention soon like they all do.

All tires are out of USDOT date - All 8 rears are recaps
