The Lees 1127-26th Ave

This residence has been occupied by a loving family for 50 years.  Dad was 91 when he passed in 2004, and the Mom was just shy of her 90th birthday when she passed this July.  Their Chinese heritage is strongly evident in the overall décor of the home.

Dad was a sign painter by trade for over 45 years, beginning his craft for Hale Brothers store on K street, as well as regularly doing advertising signs for movie houses like the Alhambra, Fox, Crest, Tower and Esquire, corporate customers like PG&E, Shell Oil, and Saccani Bros as well as other well-known customers.

Mom was a long-time employee of the State of California, as well as the billing and accounts receivable manager for Dad’s business.

Together, they made several trips to China, the first in 1974, when US-China relations were revisited and Dad was able to visit the village of his youth.

Both folks were avid and accomplished golfers, and long time active members of a local golf club.

The items offered for sale is an accumulation of a long union of 55+ years of marriage.

Welcome to their Estate Sale!

This coming Thursday November 15th will be a one-day blowout of a husband and wife’s collection since the house was stuffed full when it was nearly new so many years ago. The exact address on 26th Avenue near Riverside will be sent out with our reminder Wednesday night before the sale.. and also an update of video and photos once we get the house prepped.

Mr and Mrs Lee’s son and daughter have asked us to empty their parent’s house so that Larry can move into it and make it his own. This is no easy feat as the place is packed to the gills so we will need each of you to come do your own part of trying to see what you can’t live without that we can fit in your car and have you take away.

This house is packed; loaded, jammed, stuffed, and basically maxed out.

Enter Mr Lee; sign painter, fisherman, gadget user, handyman, artist, inventor, creator, piddler, diddler, card player, lighter collector, sophisticated hoarder, junk saver, kidder, prank puller, business owner and operator (owned and ran Sacramento Sign Painting Co for dozens of years) basic fun pop, loving husband and a bit of a clutter-bug to boot.

Add his lovely wife; homebody, golfer, lover of all things Asian, nurturing mother, proud and spoiling grandparent, loyal friend and listener, avid reader, jewelry wearer, vintage everything saver, craft lover, gardener, baker of pies and tasty desserts, volunteer and helper to all who needed her, Reagan admirer, political activist, husband hoarder tolerant roommate, heirloom keeper, and basic good citizen and kind and caring neighbor.

This couple would have been an honor to know, and through emptying their home, will be an honor to remember.

Thanks for the read.
