Alderfer Auction presents an extraordinary collection of vintage instruments on November 18th, spanning over a century of musical history. Headlining the auction is a remarkable 1840s C.F. Martin 2 ½ - 17, crafted in New York, a museum-quality piece of American lutherie that traces its lineage to the very foundation of the modern acoustic guitar. Electric players will vie for two iconic pieces from the Golden Age of Rock: a stunning Late 1960s Gibson Les Paul Deluxe, delivering the unmistakable, powerful humbucker tone that defined the era, and a superb Late 1960s Rickenbacker Bass Guitar, the instrument of choice for countless rock legends seeking its signature ringing clarity. Also to be offered is a 1917 Gibson L-1, featuring a rare 1912 Gibson neck, a beautifully voiced instrument that offers a rich, historical depth of tone. Once the auction goes live if you wish to increase your bid you will have to wait until that lot opens for bidding and enter any additional bids manually.
