Listing Information
Due to the timing around the holidays, the limited number of lots and the potential for bidders from far distances, we are offering extended amount of time to pickup of the bicycles. Please contact us to schedule a time for pickup. Please inquire with any questions pertaining to item pickup or options for shipping / courier delivery. INVOICES MUST BE PAID 72 HOURS AFTER AUCTION CLOSE. Absolutely no shipping of e-bikes, tandems, or Black Phantom.

This holiday season we’re offering a thoughtful collection of Schwinn bicycles that span six decades, all from one meticulous owner. The seller started as a teenager working at his local Schwinn dealership in the 1960s, bought the shop in 1980, and ran it successfully for many years up until 2015. The bikes you see here are the result of that lifetime in the trade. Several are his personal machines he bought new and has kept ever since: the 1961 Town & Country tandem he ordered in 1961, the custom 1974 Paramount P-13 he spec’d for touring, and the 1985 Waterford-built Paramount road bike he rode a few time in the 80s. The muscle-bike era Krates and Sting-Rays came through the shop in the 1990s as original owners traded them in for new models. Rather than sell them as-is, he set them aside and restored each one himself, using new old stock parts he had accumulated over the years and working with top restoration specialists in the early 2000s. They have been carefully stored since completion. A handful of additional bikes in the sale are family bikes they have decided to part with like a BMX race bike and a nice 70s mixte road bike. Also included are two brand-new, never-ridden Velotric electric bicycles for anyone looking to start the new year with fresh miles and a gently used Jamis ebike. Everything is exactly as this lifelong enthusiast has kept them. Honest, well-cared-for and restored Schwinn bikes from a gentleman who truly loves the brand. Happy bidding and happy holidays.
