Spectacular Estate Sale — Opening Event of 2026

When Pigs Fly Estate Sales & Auctions Presents:
The First Estate Sale Event of the Year

As we open 2026, When Pigs Fly Estate Sales & Auctions is proud to present our first estate sale event of the year—a landmark sale setting the tone for what promises to be an extraordinary season.

This three-day event features a single, exceptionally large estate, representing a curated portion of the collections of a woman of considerable accomplishment and vision, who was a driving force and equal partner in forging the remarkable empire she and her husband built together. The offering is thoughtfully complemented by a small number of select jewelry and designer consignments, chosen to enhance the overall presentation.

The collection spans decades and multiple residences in Connecticut, Arkansas, California, and ultimately Highland Park, where they settled. Each location contributed to the depth and diversity of the estate, resulting in a collection defined by refined taste, global perspective, and thoughtful acquisition.

The Event

January 22–23, 2026

  • Thursday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  •

This event will be held in our new 20,000 square foot location in the Dallas Design District, purpose-designed to host large-scale, curated estate sale events. Hold Areas, Checkout & Item Removal

This event features three designated hold areas to ensure an orderly and efficient shopping experience for all guests.

Smaller items may be placed on hold immediately. Larger items—including furniture, large lamps, and oversized artwork—will remain in place until purchased, documented by our team, and approved for removal.

Some larger pieces may be used for display or located in areas that will not allow removal until the sale has progressed and space allows. Our staff will advise accordingly.

Hold Areas Explained

  • Jewelry, Designer & Better Smalls Hold Area:
A dedicated hold area for jewelry and higher-value smalls.
  • Clothing Boutique Hold Area:
A separate hold area exclusively for boutique clothing and accessories.

Checkout Process

Once you have finished shopping a particular area and placed your items on hold, a team member will issue you a sales ticket.
You will take this ticket to the cashier to complete payment.

After payment, your stamped receipt will be taken to the appropriate hold area, where you may collect your purchased items.

Large Items & Groupings

  • Larger items located on the main floors require staff verification after payment before removal.
  • Purchased large items may be removed the same day or the following Monday between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
  • Large groupings (such as sets of china, glassware, or similar collections) may remain in place. A team member will tag the items for you.
  • Payment must be completed before any wrapping or packing begins.

Our hold, cashier, and packing system is well established and works very efficiently. We appreciate your cooperation and are always happy to assist if you have questions.

Sign-Up List: A sign-up sheet will be available by 7:00 AM on the morning of the estate sale. Please sign in with one person per line to secure your position for entry when the sale opens. You must be present and back in line 15 minutes prior to opening to maintain your place. We strongly recommend taking a photo of the sign-up list after you have signed in.

  • Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

  •

This event will be held in our new 20,000 square foot location in the Dallas Design District, purpose-designed to host large-scale, curated estate sale events. The space allows for thoughtful presentation, controlled flow, and an elevated shopping experience consistent with the quality and scale of the collection being offered.

Estate Highlights

Buyers can expect a refined and diverse selection, including:

  • Fine and designer jewelry

  • Luxury handbags and accessories

  • Couture fashion

  • Original art and sculpture

  • Antiques and designer furniture

  • Decorative arts, silver, crystal, and porcelain

  • Select luxury consignments added to complement the estate

What You’ll Find:

Hold Areas, Checkout & Item Removal

This event features three designated hold areas to ensure an orderly and efficient shopping experience for all guests.

Smaller items may be placed on hold immediately. Larger items—including furniture, large lamps, and oversized artwork—will remain in place until purchased, documented by our team, and approved for removal.

Some larger pieces may be used for display or located in areas that will not allow removal until the sale has progressed and space allows. Our staff will advise accordingly.

Hold Areas Explained

  • Front Hold Area (near the cashier):
For all smaller items from the main hall, rooms, and gallery.

Wrapping/Packing/Moving Help

Please note: We do not provide wrapping or packing materials—buyers must bring their own. We also do not have staff available to move or load purchases. Please bring appropriate help or make prior arrangements for moving and loading items.
