Listing Information
I acquired this collection of agates in 2011 from an elderly gentleman in Baldwin Wisconsin. He was in his mid eighties and worked for a construction company running a grader building roads in northern Wisconsin. He said he would have down time and hunt for agates. He collected most of them between 1950 and 1985. He collected because he loved the way they looked. Never bought or traded any. So these are first time to market. Once I bought them I put in my storage shed and they have been sitting in boxes and pails until this year. I am by no means am an agate expert or even a novice. I know very little on the different types and what is sought after. You will see in the photos a few that are polished these were not in the original collection I found these in a bag at a garage sale. There are few that don’t look like agate material. There is a total of 201 pounds and I believe that 95% are agates. Inquiries and Inspection appointments please call 651-785-3028.
