Listing Information

Caped & Classic Comic Books! The majority of this collection has been stored in custom comic boxes with sleeve coverings & positioned upright. Due to the age of some of the comics, a few of them may have a musty smell. We have replaced a majority of the sleeves to offer an extra perk for our bidders! This is a personal collection that highlights the joy of one's childhood. Thank you supporting our client and business! We are able to ship all comic books! We will ship them via USPS - Flat Rate - Priority Mail. Winning bidders will be responsible for the cost of the shipping and handling fees. St. Croix Structuring employees are non-professional graders. It is the bidders responsibility to come to inspection to view the items. We have created and used the following format below to grade the comic books. Our grading is OUR opinion. This system is used to help determine the comic books approximate condition. NM (Near Mint) - A nearly perfect comic book that looks brand new with only a few very minor defects. Minor defects may be present and can include a very small amount of spine stresses, minor denting, slight corner bending. VF (Very Fine) - Comic book has minor defects, but is in overall excellent condition. Most well-kept modern comics (especially if they have been read) fall into this grade. Acceptable defects are minor and include: Minor corner wear, light spine stress that may include color-break, dents and bends. FN (Fine) - A comic in above average condition but displays some wear. The eye appeal is somewhat reduced due to minor defects. Defects include: slight spine roll, moderate spine stresses that may break color, spine splits, minor water spotting, corner bends and dents. VG (Very Good) - A comic that shows SOME significant wear, but does not have enough total defects to reduce eye appeal to the point that it is not a desirable copy. Acceptable defects on a VG copy include: Spine splits or other tears, a cover or centerfold that is detached at one staple, discoloration due to oxidation, and a moderate accumulation of water damage or staining. GD (Good) - A comic that has major defects, but is still complete and readable. Has a significant amount of damage. Acceptable defects include vertical book-length creases, spine splits, cover completely detached, major tears, heavy discoloration/brittleness due to oxidation, heavy amounts of staining, residue, and water damage. FR (Fair) A comic copy that has low eye appeal and displays major damage. Types of damage that place a comic in FR range include: A large spine split, a missing back cover provided the front cover is still attached, severe water damage or residue damage, mold, and paper deterioration due to oxidation. PR (Poor) Comic books that are missing up to 4 pages, have a complete split spine or display severe damage making the comic book hard to read.
