1927 Allan Herschell Two Row Carousel Serial #INMS02100
There are 10 sections of horses and two sections with benches, that are not original to the carousel. All of the horses are aluminum except four horses that were replaced with more modern fiberglass horses.
The wood deck is in good condition as are the wooded sweeps.
When taken out of service the gear drive functioned as it should, the main center mast bearing is worn and will need to be repaired or replaced before putting the unit back in service.
There is no canvas for the carousel, it was old and damaged during a storm, as was one of the outer band boards. The carousel components, floor sections, sweeps and horses are stored in enclosed trailers; the gear box and center pole are stored outside.
