Auction Terms & Conditions CONDITIONS OF SALE There are no expressed or implied warranties of any kind on any listed items. VPI and State University Department of Surplus Property will offer for sale at public auction the items listed on an “AS IS /WHERE IS” basis, subject to the following conditions: 1. Purchaser assumes all liability for the property after the winning award is made. The Department of Surplus property will exercise its usual care for property up to the time of removal, but will not be responsible for any loss of item or damage to any item whatsoever. 2. VPI and State University, Department of Surplus Property reserves the right to accept, reject, add, or withdraw any or all offers on items listed. 3. The Virginia Conflict of Interest Act applies to this auction. 4.VEHICLE TITLES will be made out in the name of the REGISTERED NAME OF THE WINNING BIDDER. NO EXCEPTIONS. 5. LATE FEES of $5 PER DAY and PER ITEM will be charged for any items not picked up by the end of the day on the Tuesday following the auction. Any items not picked up by the end of the business week following the auction will be considered abandoned and ownership will revert back to Virginia Tech. 6. Failure to adhere to these conditions will result in the loss of the property and possible debarment from future purchasing at the VPI and State University Surplus Auction. 7. All items must be picked up onsite at Virginia tech surplus. Pickup times are Saturday, Monday, Tuesday from 8-4 PM. 8. All bidders must register with a valid card that can be charged for any purchases by 10 AM The day after the sale. Purchases over 2000 may be paid for by ACH or electronic check but the buyer must contact the auctioneer as soon as possible to arrange payment.
