Listing Information
The Estate of Molly Donikian — Museum-Quality Wooton Desks, Lalique Crystal, Luxury Vehicles — Carmel, Indiana

A lifetime of discerning acquisitions crosses the block on May 2. Burgess Auctions, in conjunction with Robert J. Brown Appraisal Services, presents 263 lots from the Carmel, Indiana estate of Molly Donikian — spanning American furniture, European decorative arts, luxury automobiles, and high-end collectibles.

This isn’t a typical estate auction. Every category contains marquee pieces: museum-quality Wooton desks, signed Lalique and Baccarat crystal, a rare French copper duck press, Dunlavy Reference speakers (the holy grail for audiophiles), and five luxury vehicles including a time-capsule 1988 Harley-Davidson with 452 original miles.

Why This Auction Matters:

Wooton desks of this caliber rarely surface together. Lot 300 is an Extra Grade Cabinet Secretary from the 1870s–1880s — the finest model Wooton produced. Three additional desks include rotary models with hand-tooled leather.

The decorative arts offerings span Lalique, Baccarat, and St. Louis crystal; a Handel Birds of Paradise hanging light fixture; Russian icons; and Louis Icart prints. French copper cookware enthusiasts will find an extraordinary collection including the rare duck press centerpiece.

For the audiophile community, Lot 327 represents a once-in-a-decade opportunity: Dunlavy SC-VI Reference speakers with original documentation — John Dunlavy’s masterwork in time-aligned loudspeaker design.

Vehicles include a 2008 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet and four Mercedes-Benz models spanning 1977–2017. The Harley-Davidson 85th Anniversary Softail Springer with just 452 miles is a collector-grade motorcycle in museum condition.
