This is one of those unforgettable auctions that is hard to pinpoint with the vastness of different cultures, unusual pieces and the range of history we are covering
Uncataloged at 10 AM:
Lots of Tribal, Native American, Southwestern and Mexican Art, large tribal drums, many unusual pieces.
Online Auction at 11 AM:
Lets start with a collection from a known politico in Washington, D C. An African collection of wood carved masks and figures that were bought while he was stationed there in the 1980's - 2000.
An archaeologist's fossils dug and displayed in wood trays.
Egyptian, Roman, Greek, Middle Eastern metalwork and bronze figures, sculptures in stone. A cuneiform tablet. All from just after the death of Christ.
A wonderful collection of original Abraham Lincoln CDV cards and tintypes. Many from Mathew B Brady and other well known photographers. Other original Civil War CDV cards and tintypes including Ulysses S Grant, Robert E Lee and others. Several Civil War era books. A rare CDV of General Custer made two weeks before his death at the Little Big Horn.
Several pieces of Pre-Columbian pottery, a Colima two headed dog vessel, pots and other vessels.

A Pueblo II storage jar, 11 1/2" in diameter, AD 950 - 1275. Part of the Robinson Gallery Collection in California. With a museum quality restoration and COA.

Vishnu bronze statue, an India beaded belt and other bronze deity figures.
Three Chinese ink stones in natural settings with a frog, a fish and a bat.
Japanese Wakizashi short sword with brown wood scabbard.
A Fang, Ngil (Gabon) tribal mask. Made of fibrous, woven burlap. Early 20th c. Constructed for judicial purposes and worn by the Ngengan (judge). Note the small incised eyes and the long nose indicative of Fang culture.
A 19th c Bronze Devil Face oil lamp.
A Butterfly Banner Stone and a Steatite Wing Banner Stone.
A Borneo Tawak Dayak Gong.
Hudson's Bay 1754 metal spear point. Has "Friendship, Trade" on reverse side. Likely a reproduction made by Canada's oldest known company.
Ming Dynasty and Vietnamese large storage jars.
An 18th - 19th c Ottoman decorated long rifle with bone inlays.
