This auction opens with a diverse and well-documented collection of Native American artifacts spanning the Eastern Woodlands, Midwest, South, and beyond. The arrowhead and lithic material is the real draw here — Hopewell and Adena points from Licking, Fairfield, and Pickaway Counties in Ohio; Paleo lances and darts from Kentucky, Tennessee, and Indiana; obsidian points from Linn County, Oregon; a Sahara Desert lot; Columbia River material; and standout individual pieces including a 5" grooved axe from Southern Ohio, a rare 3" Caddo flint disc with great color, a corn fertility artifact from the Southwest, and a large spade from North Carolina. Celts, hematite plummets, game stones, drills, crescent knives, mortars, and more round out the pre-Columbian material — with documented provenance on many lots including the ex-Dilley Flintridge Hopewell cores and Ford Collection Warner Valley points. There's even a Civil War relic dug lot from Farragut, Tennessee. The sports card half of the sale is a collector's buffet from the 1950s through modern-day graded hits. Vintage baseball anchors the offering — 1952 and 1954 Bowman, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1974 Topps sets and lots, a 1965 Topps lot with Mays and Mantle, and a 1982 complete set featuring the Ripken RC. Key player lots include a Nolan Ryan 40-card run, a Derek Jeter 35-card lot with two RCs, a Pete Rose 23-carder, Tony Gwynn 50-card lot, Cal Ripken 40-card lot, and Shohei Ohtani 15-card lot. Modern hits include a Tyreek Hill auto numbered 3/5, a Jalen Brunson Prizm RC PSA 9, a Frank Thomas RC (1990 Score), a Rickey Henderson RC graded, an Aaron Rodgers numbered auto, and multiple NBA RPA and auto lots. Wax boxes, factory sets, rack packs, and row boxes round out the deep card inventory across baseball, football, basketball, hockey, NASCAR, and Pokémon.
