No obligation, liability, responsibility, accountability or burden is undertaken, assumed or otherwise imposed by maintaining the Site. AUTO EXTEND FEATURE: If an auction receives a bid in the last five minutes, the ending time for that auction will automatically be extended by five minutes. Once five minutes have passed without any bidding, the item will close. This feature prevents "sniping" and allows all bidders an equal opportunity to be the high bidder if they so choose. |

CRAWFORD AUCTION SERVICE -- ONLINE COIN AUCTION
BIDDING CLOSES SUNDAY, JUNE 28, 2026 AT 7:00 PM CENTRAL TIME
Trusted Since 1944
201 LOTS. SINGLE CONSIGNOR. NO RESERVES. EVERY LOT OPENS AT THREE DOLLARS.
Every so often the right collection lands on the Crawford table, and this is one of them. Two hundred one lots of United States numismatics, world silver, paper money, and bullion from a single consignor who built this holding the patient way, one date and one mint mark at a time. The result is a sale with genuine depth: a 28-coin Morgan dollar run with New Orleans and San Francisco branch mints, a near-complete Indian Head cent date set from the one-year 1859 through the last year of issue in 1909, both 1858 Flying Eagle lettering varieties, four Braided Hair large cents, the key 1909-S and 1931-S Lincoln cents, Walking Liberty and Franklin halves by the roll's worth, classic Civil War paper money, and a stack of one-ounce silver and American Silver Eagles that is timely with silver trading near 65 dollars an ounce as this catalog publishes.
This is a no-reserve, single-consignor sale. Every lot opens at three dollars. Bid with confidence.
FEATURED LOTS
Lot 148 - 1909-S Lincoln Cent, Fine. The cornerstone key date of the entire Lincoln cent series, with the S mint mark clearly visible below the date. This is the 1909-S without VDB, mintage 1,825,000, the coin most wheat sets are missing.
Lot 155 - 1931-S Lincoln Cent, Extremely Fine. The lowest mintage circulation-strike Lincoln cent ever made at just 866,000 coins, struck in the depths of the Great Depression and chased by collectors in every grade.
Lot 128 - 1864-L Indian Head Cent, Fine. The pointed-bust variety with designer Longacre's initial L on the ribbon, a recognized semi-key that brings a strong premium over the no-L 1864.
Lot 142 - 1908-S Indian Head Cent, Very Fine. One of only two S-mint Indian Head cents ever struck, a true branch-mint semi-key with a low mintage just over one million.
Lots 119 to 121 - Flying Eagle Cents. The 1857 first-year issue in Extremely Fine, plus both 1858 lettering varieties, the Large Letters in Fine and the scarcer Small Letters in Extremely Fine.
Lots 115 to 118 - Braided Hair Large Cents. An 1844, 1846, 1849, and 1854, all Very Fine, big copper coins from the final United States large cent type.
Lot 216 - 1878 Morgan Dollar, 7 Tail Feathers, Uncirculated. The very first year of the Morgan dollar in the desirable 7 Tail Feathers reverse variety.
Lots 218 and 232 - Prooflike Morgans. An 1880-S in MS63 Prooflike and an 1902-O New Orleans dollar in MS64 Prooflike, both with mirrored fields against frosted devices.
Lots 229, 230, and 235 - Better-Date Morgans. The 1891-S and the 1892-O branch-mint dollars, plus the 1921-D, the only Denver Mint Morgan dollar ever struck.
Lot 236 - 1928 One Dollar Silver Certificate, Funny Back. The first small-size Silver Certificate, blue seal, more desirable than the common 1935 notes.
Lot 239 - 1928-F Two Dollar United States Note. An early small-size red-seal legal tender two, more collectible than the later 1953 and 1963 notes.
Lot 245 - 1862 Postage Currency 50 Cent Note. A first-issue piece of United States fractional currency from the Civil War coin shortage, showing five ten-cent Washington postage stamp designs.
Lot 160 - 1877-S Seated Liberty Dime, Very Fine. A cornerstone 19th-century silver type coin with the S mint mark on the reverse.
Lot 156 - 1920-D Buffalo Nickel, Extremely Fine. A better Denver date with a bold full date and strong detail.
American Silver Eagles - Fourteen examples spanning 1986 through 2025, including the 1986 first-year issue and the 1996 key date, the lowest-mintage bullion Eagle of the series, plus a 1994 Proof Eagle in Lot 265. Each contains one full troy ounce of .999 fine silver.

A NOTE ON GRADES AND HOLDERS
Every grade in this catalog without a PCGS or NGC designation is the opinion of the consignor and has not been independently authenticated. The raw-graded Morgan dollars, Indian Head cents, Lincoln cents, Walking Liberty and Franklin halves, Silver Eagles, and all other raw business strikes are sold as graded by the consignor, with full disclosure that the market value of a raw graded coin can vary materially from a certified example of the same stated grade. Buyers who want top-tier grading should resubmit to PCGS or NGC at their own cost after purchase.
Several coins in this sale are colorized or painted novelty pieces and are described as such. The Civil War era notes in Lot 244 are sold with their authenticity in question and unverified, strictly as-is.
Photos are the most accurate description of every lot in this sale. Written descriptions are a guide only and may contain errors. If a written description ever disagrees with the photo, the photo is correct. Bidders are required to review all photos carefully before placing any bid.
