Bid online now through Wednesday, July 15th at alderferauction.com. This auction will begin closing at 8 PM at a rate of 5 lots per minute. Active bidding will be auto-extended 3 minutes for each lot once it begins to close.

Stoneware and pottery form the core of the sale, with numerous salt-glazed crocks, stoneware jugs, pitchers, preserve jars, and blue-decorated examples. Redware and slipware are represented throughout the catalog with plates, bowls, pitchers, and serving pieces, including signed Turtlecreek Potters examples. Additional pottery includes yellow ware, Bennington pottery, spongeware, earthenware, and a Roseville spongeware bowl.

Country kitchen items include butter molds, butter churns, cabbage cutters, wooden bowls, rolling pins, dough boxes, pantry boxes, cutting boards, treenware, kitchen utensils, coffee grinders, tinware, graniteware, cast iron cookware, and Wagner cast iron pans. Primitive pantry and storage items include firkins, covered wooden buckets, lidded boxes, stoneware storage vessels, and wooden measures.

Folk art is represented by painted duck boxes, carved wooden pieces, handmade toys, primitive wall boxes, painted furniture, and decorative Americana. Additional country accessories include weathervanes, baskets, crocks, lanterns, candle molds, iron hardware, and early household tools.

Textiles include antique jacquard coverlets woven by Thomas Marsteller, Philip Maus, Benjamin Hausman, and Henry Oberly, along with additional blue and white coverlets, a framed sampler, vintage quilt, woven linens, and other textile-related household items.

Furniture includes blanket chests, painted cupboards, work tables, benches, stools, side tables, rocking chairs, dry sinks, and other primitive country furnishings. Decorative categories also include framed artwork, mirrors, wooden boxes, crocks, and farmhouse display pieces.
