All purchases are subject to state and local taxes where and when applicable. The purpose of this catalog is only for the identification of merchandise. It is our intention to give an accurate description to the best of our knowledge and note any defects we may be aware of. However, the auctioneer makes no guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy of the information given on any merchandise found in the catalog.

All items: Everything is sold AS IS, WHERE IS. We do not guarantee the value, condition, or authenticity of any item. It is the sole responsibility of you, the buyer, to judge the value, condition, and authenticity of merchandise and bid accordingly. We disclaim responsibility for any opinions expressed by the auctioneer or others as to the value of any item. Please use the preview times to inspect all items prior to bidding on them. All sales are final.

Comic Book Condition: This one-owner collection of comic books is pre-owned and shows wear consistent with age and use. All comic books are UNGRADED and sold as is. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.

The collection has been inspected by a reputable MN-local consultant with 40-50 years of experience buying and selling comic books.

In conjunction with the consultant's opinion, Luther Auctions has offered an estimate of condition on each comic book which aligns with the following traditional comic book grading scale. *Note: Our opinion is not a guarantee of any future grading results by a third-party grading service.

o Mint: The holy grail. A flawless comic hot off the press. It has perfect color, complete gloss, and absolutely zero manufacturing or handling defects of any kind.
o Near Mint: Appears almost perfect at first glance. It may have only negligible handling wear, such as a microscopic, barely perceptible spine stress line.
o Very Fine: An excellent, above-average copy. It retains most of its original gloss, but close inspection reveals small flaws like tiny corner creases, light spine stress, or very minor edge wear.
o Fine: A solid "reader's copy" that shows minor wear but has full structural integrity. Gloss may be slightly diminished, and you might spot slight fading, corner blunting, or a slight spine roll.
o Very Good: Obviously read and handled. It has visible wear, including heavier creases, small tears, or minor discoloration, but it remains complete, intact, and totally readable.
o Good: A heavily read, well-loved, or improperly stored book. It will show extensive defects like prominent cover creases, a rolled spine, stains, or tape repairs, but it must still be a complete book with all its pages.
o Fair: Exhibits very heavy wear, missing chunks of cover, centerfolds loose from staples, or brittle pages. Usually kept for historical preservation or extreme rarity.

Payment: Domestic payments less than $5,000.00 can be made via Cash, Local Check (we reserve the right to hold merchandise until check clears), Major Credit Card, or Wire Transfer. ALL payments over $5,000.00 AND international payments must be made via direct wire transfer. Purchases of jewelry & precious metals may also require a wire transfer at auctioneer's discretion. You will need to pay sales tax unless you have a resale tax exemption number (You will need to complete a Minnesota ST3 Certificate of Exemption Form. Blank forms are available at the front desk or can be found online at http://www.revenue.state.mn.us/Forms_and_Instructions/st3.pdf ) or you are shipping the goods out of the state.

Pickup / Removal: MON thru FRI: 9 AM to 5 PM - (Not same day as auction.) Please enter through the back door & pay when you arrive. If you are unable to pick up within the week, please call us to make arrangements.

Shipping: Luther Auctions DOES NOT provide in-house packing or shipping services. We recommend The UPS Store #2158 to assist you in packing and shipping. Luther Auctions requires that the billing address used for payment match the shipping address exactly. All shipments are to be fully insured for purchase price.
