Online Auction Terms & Conditions
Please Read Before Bidding

By registering and placing a bid, you are confirming that you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with them, please do not bid.

Insurance remains the seller's responsibility until an item is sold. Once the auction ends and you are the successful bidder, insurance becomes your responsibility.

1. Who Can Bid?
You must be 18 years of age or older to register and bid.

2. Item Condition
*Everything is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranties or guarantees.

*All sales are final. There are no returns, refunds, or exchanges.

*Once you place a bid, it cannot be canceled or withdrawn.

*We describe items as accurately as possible, but descriptions may contain errors or omissions.

*Photos and descriptions are provided to help identify an item but may not show every detail.

*It is your responsibility to inspect an item before bidding.

*We encourage you to inspect all items in person. If you choose not to inspect an item, you accept all risks by placing a bid.

3. Registration
Before bidding, you must:

*Register with a valid Visa, MasterCard, or Discover card.

*Provide accurate contact information.

*Agree to these Terms & Conditions.

A $1.00 authorization will be placed on your card to verify your identity. This charge will automatically be refunded.

Your card will NOT be charged automatically for purchases. Payment is due at pickup.

4. Buyer's Premium
A 5% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final bid price of each item.

For items selling for more than $50,000, the Buyer's Premium is capped at 2%.

If you pay by credit or debit card, an additional 4% processing fee will be added.

5. Payment
Payment is due at pickup.

No items will be released until payment has been received in full.

Purchases of $1,500 or Less
You may pay with:
*Cash (rounded to the nearest nickel)
*Visa, MasterCard, or Discover (4% processing fee)
*Local personal check with prior approval

For check approval, call 319-694-4522 or email jody@greinerrealestate.com before the auction closes.

If your credit card is declined when payment is attempted, a $10 processing fee will be charged to process another payment.

Purchases Over $1,500 and Up to $5,000
Accepted payment methods:
*Cash
*Local approved check

Purchases Over $5,000
*Payment must be made by wire transfer within two business days after the auction ends.

Failure to pay may result in being banned from future auctions and legal action to collect payment.

6. Vehicles & Other Titled Items

To purchase a vehicle or other titled item, you must:

*Be at least 18 years old.

*Have a valid U.S. driver's license.

*Complete all required title paperwork.

7. Pickup

NO SHIPPING. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY.

Pickup begins on Thursday, September 24. Please check the Auction Details page for pickup times.

Unless otherwise noted, all items must be picked up at:

(In the Town of Richland)

Please remember:

*Payment must be made before items are removed.

*Bring your own help, equipment, boxes, straps, or trailers if needed.

*Auction staff may assist with loading when available, but assistance is not guaranteed.

*Items not picked up within 14 days, unless prior arrangements have been approved, will be considered abandoned and may be resold or returned to the seller without a refund.

*If you cannot pick up your items during the scheduled time, please do not bid.

8. Auction Rules

All Greiner Real Estate & Auction LLC online auctions are Reserve Auctions.

We reserve the right to:

*Change bid increments.

*Add or remove items.

*Split or combine lots.

*Set or change reserve prices and minimum bids.

*Extend, postpone, suspend, or cancel any auction or lot.

*Correct descriptions or photos.

*Change inspection or pickup times.

*Refuse or suspend bidding privileges.

*Cancel a sale if necessary.

Employees, owners, sellers, family members, and associates of Greiner Real Estate & Auction LLC are permitted to register and bid in our auctions, provided they meet the same registration requirements and agree to these Terms & Conditions as all other bidders.

We are not responsible for internet outages, website issues, technical problems, or other interruptions beyond our control.

Some auctions, including bankruptcy sales, may require approval from a Trustee or Bankruptcy Court before the sale becomes final.

9. General Terms
*Greiner Real Estate & Auction LLC is not responsible for accidents, injuries, or theft.

*Announcements made during the auction take precedence over any previous advertising or printed material.

*We reserve the right to reject any bid.

*If technical problems occur during an online auction, we may reopen or extend the auction.

*Buyers are responsible for all costs, including attorney fees and court costs, if legal action is required because of the buyer's failure to follow these Terms & Conditions.

*These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. Any legal action will take place in Keokuk County, Iowa.
