The Dick Barbour Racing Memorabilia Collection is one of the finest private assemblages of endurance racing history ever offered. Built around the remarkable career of racing legend Dick Barbour, the collection celebrates one of the most influential figures in American sports car racing. As both a championship-winning driver and team owner, Barbour helped shape the golden era of endurance racing, earning victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 12 Hours of Sebring, and Daytona while fielding many of the greatest drivers in motorsport history. His 1979 Le Mans team, featuring Paul Newman and Rolf Stommelen, produced one of the most iconic performances in racing history with an unforgettable second-place overall finish and class victory. At the heart of this extraordinary collection are rare Paul Newman racing artifacts, celebrating the Academy Award-winning actor whose accomplishments behind the wheel earned him worldwide respect as a genuine professional racer. Newman proved that his racing legacy stood alongside his Hollywood career, becoming one of the sport's most admired competitors and team owners. The collection also features more than 300 of the most important racing posters ever assembled, documenting decades of Le Mans, Sebring, Daytona, Formula One, IndyCar, Porsche, Ferrari, and other legendary motorsport events. Complementing these treasures are race-worn apparel, autographs, photographs, programs, original artwork, trophies, and countless one-of-a-kind pieces that capture the passion, innovation, and personalities that defined international motor racing. Together, they represent a museum-quality archive preserving the history, heroes, and enduring spirit of one of the world's greatest sports.
