A substantial selection of works by Benton Spruance appears throughout the auction, including numerous signed lithographs and works on paper. Other American artists represented include Clarence Holbrook Carter, Ranulph Bye, Gordon Hope Grant, Dorothy Dehner, Larry Rivers, Joseph Pickett, Yarnall Abbott, W. Carl Burger, James L. McFarlane, Anthony Michael Autorino, Walter E. Cohen Jr., Frederick H. Clark, and Birdsall Douglass Paine.

European and international names include Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, Georges Braque, Henri Matisse, Maurice de Vlaminck, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Edgar Degas, Guillaume Azoulay, Hermine David, André Dunoyer de Segonzac, Emiliano Di Cavalcanti, and Tomoe Yokoi. The catalog also includes a work attributed to Alberto Giacometti and a work in the manner of Erich Heckel, with those qualifications retained in the individual lot descriptions.

Asian art and works on paper include Japanese woodblock prints by Utagawa Kunisada and Utagawa Hiroshige, a work by Baishi Qi, a Chinese watercolor, and a Chinese stone rubbing. These complement the broader selection of international works represented throughout the sale.
