Welcome to the University of Michigan Vehicle Auction.
We know you are anxious to begin bidding, however it is critical that you fully understand and agree to the following terms and conditions of this online only auction. By participating in this auction, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

AUCTION ENDS: 7 PM Thursday August 27th, 2026 (EST) (Soft Close)

INSPECTION:
There will only be 1 LIVE Preview- Wednesday August 19th from 1-3PM (EST) @ Wolverine Tower- 3001 S State St. Ann Arbor, MI 48108. (In the back of the Yellow Parking Lot by Wendy's & Buffalo Wild Wings)

MERCHANDISE PICK INFORMATION:
(By Appointment Only) Friday and Saturday August 28th- 29th from 9 AM - 2 PM @ Wolverine Tower - 3001 S State St. Ann Arbor, MI 48108.

PAYMENT:
A 4% Buyer's Premium will be added to the final high bid to determine the total purchase price.
** First-time bidders must be approved by the auctioneer prior to bidding. Unless otherwise approved, first-time bidders are limited to: Maximum of two (2) vehicles & a Maximum purchase total of $20,000. Please contact David at (734) 368-1733 for approval. **
Braun and Helmer Auction Service accepts: Cash, Cashier's Check, Personal Check, Company Check, or Wire Transfer. Checks must be made payable to Braun and Helmer Auction Service. Braun and Helmer Auction Service does not provide financing. Personal or company checks drawn on banks outside the State of Michigan will not be accepted unless approved in advance.
Payment must be secured before the close of the auction. Winning bidders who fail to submit payment by the end of the scheduled pickup period will be charged a $100 late fee per day until payment is received.
Michigan vehicle sales tax (6%) will be paid directly to the Michigan Secretary of State at the time of title transfer.

TITLE INFORMATION:
Buyers paying by cash or certified funds will receive their titles at pickup. Buyers paying by personal or business check will receive their titles via USPS Certified Mail after the check has cleared (approximately 10 business days following pickup).
Face-to-face title pickup after the holding period may be arranged upon request.
** All vehicle titles must be completed and signed at checkout regardless of payment method. **

PICKUP TERMS:
All items, must be picked up on the published move out date(s) and if they are not, Braun and Helmer Auction Service reserves the right to forfeit your items. Buyers are responsible for rigging, loading, and moving all items purchased without assistance from Braun and Helmer Auction Service or the University of Michigan.
Merchandise becomes the full responsibility of the buyer at time of payment and the buyer assumes all risk of loss and damage to property at that time.

DISCLAIMER:
All lots sell AS IS / WHERE IS with all faults. Braun and Helmer Auction Service and the seller do not give or make any type of guarantee or warranty regarding the lots to be sold, implied or otherwise. All vehicles are being sold as running unless otherwise stated in the listing.
Braun and Helmer Auction Service has attempted to provide accurate descriptions of all items, however, it is your exclusive responsibility as a bidder to determine the condition and suitability of each lot. Printed statements, descriptions and accounts by Braun and Helmer Auction Service staff are provided in good faith and are matters of opinion.
Vehicles are in running order unless noted in the description. The pictures and descriptions provide information on the condition. It is not the policy of Braun and Helmer to hide any issues or problems with the vehicles. If most cases we can provide additional pictures or information up to 24 hours prior to auction day.

AUCTION BIDDING & TIPS:
Beginning at the stated closing time, the auction software will conclude bidding for one lot every minute in catalog order with the following exception: if a bid is placed within the last three 30 seconds remaining for that auction lot, bidding for that lot will remain open for an additional 30 seconds. Some lots may be grouped together so that a bid on one lot will extend the time on all lots in that group.
We recommend that you bid early and become familiar with the software. Not everyone has high speed internet and it make take longer for you to place your bids. Something to consider is that at the end of the auction, there may be multiple people attempting to bidding the same amount at virtually the same time. Because of this we do not guarantee that your bids will be executed to your satisfaction. Therefore, in order to minimize potentially missing a bid we recommend placing a Max Bid.
The bidding increments for this auction will be $250.00 on the vehicles and lot will begin closing every 60 seconds starting at 7PM (EST).
The auction company reserves the right to reject any bids for any reason.

DEBT COLLECTIONS AND INTEREST CHARGES:
The buyer agrees to pay all reasonable attorney fees and other costs incurred by Braun and Helmer Auction Service in its efforts to collect unpaid funds from the buyer. If the winning bidder fails to settle their invoice, the buyer agrees that a fee of 10% of the outstanding balance be paid due to Braun and Helmer Auction Service. Any debt collection or dispute proceedings will be heard in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Limitation of Liability If, for any reason, Braun and Helmer Auction Service is unable to make available or deliver any Purchase, or portion thereof, or documentation required in respect of any Purchase, the sole liability of Braun and Helmer Auction Service, if any, shall be the return of monies paid in respect of such Purchase upon its return by Purchaser.

NON-PAYING & RESELLING
In addition to the above, understand that we are working for our seller. We have zero tolerance for non-paying bidders and we will proceed aggressively to rectify such situations.
Age Requirement All bidders must be 18 years of age or older.
Braun and Helmer Auction Service reserves the right to resell any property not paid for in full by the conclusion of the stated pickup period. In any such event, the Buyer will still be responsible for payment for the original purchase and the costs of collection of this payment and/or damages resulting from the resale of the property.

BIDDER INFORMATION AND SECURITY:
All registration information the bidder provides to Braun and Helmer Auction Service shall be current, complete, and accurate. All bidders are responsible for any bids placed under their bidding numbers and passwords. The security of bidder information is the responsibility of the bidder. Bidders must notify Braun and Helmer Auction Service if they believe that their bidder number and password have been compromised.
