Listing Information

For decades, Doc’s Harley-Davidson in Kirkwood, Missouri, was more than a dealership. Ralph “Doc” Schneidewind opened the doors in 1955 and backed flat track racing from the start. His daughter, Patty Bush, carried that legacy forward as the dealership’s longtime owner. Patty created a unique community atmosphere in the dealership and lived the legacy with her valued friends, customers, and celebrities, while also supporting artists, and Harley-Davidson racing teams. Along the way, she built a private collection that tells the story of American motorcycling from inside the showroom: gifts from the artists, autographs from the riders, and pieces set aside because they meant something. Follow the GRS Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn pages for engaging stories about these pieces of Harley Davidson History.

Now her collection comes to auction. It includes three collector motorcycles, including a never-ridden Dyna Glide signed by Evel Knievel, along with original artwork and signed limited editions by Harley-Davidson’s leading licensed artists. There’s racing memorabilia from the riders Doc’s sponsored, plus decades of dealership history. Many pieces carry personal inscriptions to Patty and to Doc’s, provenance you won’t find anywhere else. This auction will be taking bids from both GRSauctions.com and Live auctioneers. Tap, Bid, Win.

Collection highlights:

  • Evel Knievel-signed motorcycle. A 2006 Harley-Davidson FXD35 Dyna Glide, never ridden and factory direct, signed by Evel Knievel at his last appearance before his stroke.
  • Two more collector bikes. A 2007 XL50 50th Anniversary Sportster, never started, with factory MSO, and a 1952 Harley-Davidson Hummer.
  • Original Scott Jacobs painting. “Gearing Up,” a 48 x 36 inch acrylic on Belgian linen depicting nine-time Grand National Champion Scott Parker.
  • Scott Jacobs pieces made for Patty. “After the Ride,” numbered 1 of 50 and inscribed “To Pat” by the artist, and a print Jacobs personalized with Doc’s.
  • David Uhl art. Works including “Change in the Weather,” his first Harley-Davidson painting, and the “Time Trials” artist proof.
  • Evel Knievel helmet. Signed and inscribed “To Doc’s.”
  • Flat track racing legends. Signed items from Scott Parker, Jay Springsteen, and Gary Nixon, plus Terry Poovey racing under Doc’s colors.
  • Harley-Davidson milestones. 100th Anniversary collectibles, including a silver and gold replica under glass, alongside work by Tom Fritz, Ben Otero, and David Mann.
