Listing Information
Great Sale - and LONG Email! If you want "Just the facts, Ma'am," we'll be at 929 Lakeland Drive in Mesquite 75149 (49A-Z) - THURS & FRI 9 til 4 and SATURDAY 9 til 3. About 2 miles from the Rodeo - and when you get to Paschall Park you're almost there!

Dr. and Mrs. Joey Pirrung made Mesquite their home in the 1950's and raised their family there. In the 1960s Dr. Pirrung opened the Mesquite Medical & Surgical Clinic. He served on the Mesquite ISD School Board for many years, three as the Board's President, and for many years was the Team Doctor for Mesquite High School. The Joey Pirrung Elementary School was named in his honor.

Remember the '80s? GOOD TIMES! Auctions in the area were going gangbusters, and the Pirrungs had reserved seats on the weekends at the Clements Auction in Forney. They started collecting western art bronzes by Frederic Remington and other artists, adding to their collection during travels around Texas and in the West. Western artifacts were expertly framed for display in 3 large cases in Dr. Pirrung's office. The doctor tried his own skilled hand at sculpting and did some praiseworthy pieces of his own - my favorite is of "JOE KOOL," a famous bull who bucked at Mesquite Rodeo. Through the years Dr. Pirrung met and "patched up" quite a few rodeo riders, and counted Neal Gay and the other cowboys in his family as good friends. One of the doctor's sculptures was dedicated to the image of Don Gay.

The sculptures from Remington, Carl Wagner, Veryl Goodnight and Texas artist Zane Cruse are something to see! But you can't come in the door without noticing the two matching STUNNING large chandeliers - 8 arms, Empress style - that light the house. If you have a wonderful dining room - or maybe your own ballroom, have we got chandeliers for you! We've found an experienced and reputable lighting company to remove each chandelier. I will pay for the removal from the ceiling, and you can negotiate your own deal to get it delivered and installed in your own home. Only a professional company is qualified for this kind of thing - no other options considered!
