Carolyn Remmey is the Principal Appraiser of Remmey Auction Services, an appraisal and personal property brokerage firm located in New York’s tri-state area. Carolyn first developed her knowledge of appraising and auctioning after founding Remmey Galleries, a regional auction house located in Summit, New Jersey. Over the years she has worked in the Trust and Estate Departments of Philips International and Sotheby’s, offering expert evaluations of art, antiques, and collectibles. Working primarily throughout the tri-state area and Southern Florida, Carolyn conducts thorough and comprehensive appraisals for estate taxes, equitable distribution, and insurance purposes. As a downsizing expert, she offers a full range of services to over 100 families a year. Additionally, Carolyn has been a guest appraiser on the popular PBS television program Antiques Roadshow, and is a USPAP compliant member of the Appraisers Association of America.
