Listing Information

Once you see this house, even before you park your car, you’re glad you here.  Expecting great things, you enter the home and see that you were right.  As you browse from room to room, you discover surprise treasures and unique offerings around every corner.

Entering the living room you can’t help but see the beautiful Acrosonic piano #988.  You notice the original receipt on the music stand indicating the date of purchase was August, 1961.  Furniture surrounding the piano ranges from a vintage avocado green crushed velvet side chair to a dark burnt orange leather wing-back chair to an antique desk.  There is a drop-leaf coffee table in the Duncan Phyfe style and a similar round occasional table.  The sofa is a 3-piece sectional and is covered in a pale green on green brocade fabric.  Of course, there are lamps here, but they are also found throughout the house.  Beautiful artwork, from prints to signed originals, can be found in each room.

The dining room boasts a new oval dining table with decorative stenciling.  Purchased at Weir’s, it has never been used.  As always, you can find the higher end crystal, china and glassware here in the “formal” dining room.  You will also find Haviland Nippon china decorative, sets of Ruby Red glassware and Limoges serving pieces and decoratives.  In the corner curio cabinet, there are 2 Royal Copenhagen Bjaeldeklang plates in their signature blue décor; “Jingle Bells” dated 1984 and “Christmas in Church” dated 1968.  Just in time for the holidays are the vintage turkey platters.  There is a wonderful selection of milk glass pieces and crystal decoratives and serving pieces.  On the sideboard is where a collection of lighters, including Zippo, are waiting for their new home.  While you are browsing the lighters, don’t overlook the costume jewelry.  A wonderful selection.

The kitchen has a selection of small appliances, cookware, Corning Ware pieces and the standard kitchen fare.  There is a large selection of vintage copper ware, including those jell-o molds that used to hang in your grandmother’s kitchen.  For young people just starting out, a set of Melmac dinnerware would be perfect.  Are you a cake decorator?  We have all sorts of pans and other accessories you just might need.  They are in the laundry room right next to all the kitchen utensils.  There is also a bags of vintage cookie cutters…. check ‘em out.

The den area has some Early American furniture such as a Colonial-style rocker and an unusual square coffee table that is just too cool.  A love seat in a pink floral print is where you could cuddle up and read a book in front of the fireplace.  There are also books and books.  Actually, you can find books all throughout the house and in the garage.  Titles for all ages.  Speaking of books, we also have vintage comic books…. Thor, The Avengers, Iron Man and the list goes on.  There is also a selection of Mad Magazine and many Dragon Magazine.

One bedroom holds all holiday decorations.  The room is packed.  Christmas decorations take us most of the room.  Here you can also find sewing notions, fabric and craft supplies.  Check the closet for some vintage board games.  Remember Chutes and Ladders??

Another bedroom has racks of ladies high-end clothing and shoes. There is a wonderful hand-made 100% wool rug from India.  Stuffed animals live here, too.  Oh, look at all the stuffed Dalmatian puppies!  There might even be 101!

Some of the surprises in the garage: a large box of Lincoln Logs (build a cabin and make Daniel Boone proud), an assortment of video games by Activision, vintage luggage and trunks and wicker baskets.  Some of the baskets are signed and numbered!

Like we said, you will be glad you came once you get there.  Come by and stay for a while, we love seeing our old friends; and making new ones!
