Thursday, March 29, 9:30am until 8pm, with refreshments served from 4-8pm, Friday from 9:30am-4:30pm, and Saturday 9:30am– 4:30pm. There are several parking options on 3rd avenue north. Berenice Denton Estate Sales presents a rare opportunity to visit a historic Nashville site, the original Federal Reserve Building at 226 Third Avenue North on March 29, 30, and March 31. Built in 1921, the building features classic architecture and historical elements of the former occupants such as the bank vault that retains the scent of the millions of dollars that had been stored there. Berenice is excited that the Federal Reserve will be open to the public during this extensive estate sale featuring fine furniture, upscale office furnishings, original art by national and regional artists, political memorabilia, and a vast music collection and library.
Native Nashvillians may remember the Federal Reserve Building’s prominent place in what was once known as the “Wall Street of the South”, now the building is recognized on the National Historic Register. The building features Iconic columns supporting a massive classical pediment and was used until the new four-story Federal Reserve Reserve building was constructed in 1956. History buffs and families will enjoy perusing the estate offerings amidst the open space that was converted from the Fed to a private vault for Nashville’s ultra rich and now a palatial private residence. |
