Treasures From Nantucket 

Turnpike St, N. Andover, MA  Sat & Sun April 7 & 8 9AM – 2PM

This little house in North Andover is jammed with some amazing finds! The family traveled yearly to Nantucket and loved all things historical, maritime, or antique. She also kept meticulous records of provenance and family connections. This is a treasure trove! Come get some booth candy for Brimfield or true history for your collection. Let’s start with the Maritime antiques: There are some excellent quality scrimshaw, hand carved whalebone, sailor’s valentines, and a large collection of Nantucket baskets - spanning 150 years. There are also whale oil lamps, primitives, tinware, toleware, 19th Century Cranberry Scoops, captain’s chest, pewter, Canton dishes, early cupboards, candle stands, and a lots of folk art with painted scenes. There is also a large collection of hand-made quilts, hooked rugs, spinning wheel, old linens, buoys, birdhouses, and tons of vintage garden and beach décor. Plus – all the antique china, glass, candlesticks, andirons, portraits, paintings, prints, antique silver, knickknacks, and everything else you find in a true estate. She also loved to travel and there is also some tribal artwork, carvings, pottery, and lots of Southwestern sterling and turquoise jewelry.
