Welcome to my home in the lovely neighborhood of Valley Village, where I have lived with my two young children for the past 17 years. We have enjoyed wonderful times in this house and have acquired many belongings – each one picked out with care and each full of memories. But time passes and children grow up. As an empty nester now, I realize it is time to move onto my next chapter.

As you tour my home, I’d like you to know a bit about me. I grew up in a rural area of Cape Cod and eventually went on to study at Boston University, majoring in Film and television. Upon graduation I moved to NYC where I embarked upon a career as a TV editor. During my fifteen years in NYC I worked with academy-award winner Barbara Kopple on several of her documentaries, edited an Emmy-award winning series with Bill Moyers called, “A Walk Through the 20th Century With Bill Moyers, and was a staff editor on, “The MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour for several years - in addition to editing several documentaries for PBS. In 1989, I produced, directed and edited an award-winning, 30-minute documentary about disabled athletes which aired nationally on PBS. After ten gritty years in New York, I decided to move out West and try my luck pursuing a career in writing.

While studying screenwriting at night and editing, “Real World” for MTV during the day, I finally caught my big break and secured an agent. In the early 1990’s, I started out as what they call a “baby writer” on a show with Michael Madsen on ABC called, “Vengeance Unlimited” and slogged my way up the ladder as a TV scribe. That was twenty years ago. In the ensuing 20 years, I’ve had an incredible career as a writer for network television. Among the most memorable: a show called, “Get Real” with then teenage actors Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, followed by a six-year stint on “Law & Order” where I eventually rose to the position of Co-Executive Producer.

After “Law & Order”, I moved over to CSI:NY at CBS for 4 seasons as an Executive Producer, which involved both writing, overseeing other writers and being on the set producing episodes. When that show ended, I wrote and produced a movie called, “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial” for Lifetime, starring Hayden Panettiere and Marsha Gay Harden. That was a delicate piece of writing given the controversy surrounding her case in the US.

Next it was off to the Brazilian Amazon as a Co-executive producer on an ABC paranormal show called, “The River” (which was shot in Hawaii,) a FOX show set in Florida called, “The Glades” and a return to CBS for, “Unforgettable”, starring Poppy Montgomery.

My last show was in 2016 as a Co-Executive Producer of a Netflix, UK-based detective drama called, “Crossing Lines” which was a co-production between German, British and American TV.

I have had a wonderful career and remember numerous writers’ meetings and script writing sessions taking place in this very house. It will be easier to leave if I know my belongings will be finding a great, new home and will be cherished as we have cherished them.

Welcome to my home in the lovely neighborhood of Valley Village, where I have lived with my two young children for the past 17 years. We have enjoyed wonderful times in this house and have acquired many belongings – each one picked out with care and each full of memories. But time passes and children grow up. As an empty nester now, I realize it is time to move onto my next chapter.

As you tour my home, I’d like you to know a bit about me. I grew up in a rural area of Cape Cod and eventually went on to study at Boston University, majoring in Film and television. Upon graduation I moved to NYC where I embarked upon a career as a TV editor. During my fifteen years in NYC I worked with academy-award winner Barbara Kopple on several of her documentaries, edited an Emmy-award winning series with Bill Moyers called, “A Walk Through the 20th Century With Bill Moyers, and was a staff editor on, “The MacNeil-Lehrer Newshour for several years - in addition to editing several documentaries for PBS. In 1989, I produced, directed and edited an award-winning, 30-minute documentary about disabled athletes which aired nationally on PBS. After ten gritty years in New York, I decided to move out West and try my luck pursuing a career in writing.

While studying screenwriting at night and editing, “Real World” for MTV during the day, I finally caught my big break and secured an agent. In the early 1990’s, I started out as what they call a “baby writer” on a show with Michael Madsen on ABC called, “Vengeance Unlimited” and slogged my way up the ladder as a TV scribe. That was twenty years ago. In the ensuing 20 years, I’ve had an incredible career as a writer for network television. Among the most memorable: a show called, “Get Real” with then teenage actors Anne Hathaway and Jesse Eisenberg, followed by a six-year stint on “Law & Order” where I eventually rose to the position of Co-Executive Producer.

After “Law & Order”, I moved over to CSI:NY at CBS for 4 seasons as an Executive Producer, which involved both writing, overseeing other writers and being on the set producing episodes. When that show ended, I wrote and produced a movie called, “Amanda Knox: Murder on Trial” for Lifetime, starring Hayden Panettiere and Marsha Gay Harden. That was a delicate piece of writing given the controversy surrounding her case in the US.

Next it was off to the Brazilian Amazon as a Co-executive producer on an ABC paranormal show called, “The River” (which was shot in Hawaii,) a FOX show set in Florida called, “The Glades” and a return to CBS for, “Unforgettable”, starring Poppy Montgomery.

My last show was in 2016 as a Co-Executive Producer of a Netflix, UK-based detective drama called, “Crossing Lines” which was a co-production between German, British and American TV.

I have had a wonderful career and remember numerous writers’ meetings and script writing sessions taking place in this very house. It will be easier to leave if I know my belongings will be finding a great, new home and will be cherished as we have cherished them.
