The father assembled an amazing collection of books, copper, brass, porcelain (varied/including continental; willow/transfer, hand painted), crystal, sterling, large lot of samplers (10+), lighting, metal objects, wood carvings, antique furniture of all sorts, officer uniforms, helmet, daggers etc, paintings and prints, various Asian objects, and assorted unusual objects some back to the 17th, 18th and 19th century. The son focused on metal working machinery and tools as well as wood working tools some good hand working tools. After the war he was an executive at Edison; he was active in local politics and chamber of commerce. His only son retained and lived with the estate until his recent passing. The son's passion was metal work and the restoration of antique cars including an almost complete Rolls Royce Cloud and Phantom and a 1906 one cylinder Cadillac, all of which were donated. A collection of 16th/17th century rare books were donated to the Huntington Library and net sales of this estate sale will all be donated to the Children's Hospital and SPCA.
