As most of you know, we have been hosting online auctions throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. We have our system down – following all the guidelines. Note: You must sign-up for a 30-minute pick-up window from the link on your invoice, in order to comply.

The Riegel Family have been long-time, active residents of the Richmond area (and the children/grandchildren still are). Fun Fact: At one time, Mr. Riegel held the winningest high school wrestling coach record in the nation – with 800 wins and is in the National Wrestling Hall of Fame! We are helping sell and clear their family home before it goes on the market. The house is situated on a nice piece of property with a big yard and pool out back. With over 200 lots in this auction – there is a lot to see and bid on! Wide variety of great furniture, tons of hard-to-find vintage items and just a whole lot of vintage stuff – plus an entire room dedicated to Christmas, even down to the pretty red walls! The house has a circular staircase towards the back of the house and a double door front entry with another straight staircase – good access points for pick-ups. Auction Lots have been organized by location: Lot #100s - 2^nd floor, #200s - main level, and #300s - basement. Most smaller items will be moved to the garage for easy/outdoor pick-ups. Furniture and heavier lots will have to be picked up inside the house. The 1^st three pick-up slots on Friday will be dedicated to small lots only.

This Richmond, KY Auction will start closing on Wednesday, October 28^th at 7:00pm. Winning bidders will be invoiced electronically that evening, make payment from invoice, select a pick-up time, then plan to pick-up items on either Friday or Saturday at the house. (Note: Please don’t be that person who shows up at the warehouse wondering where we are!) If you think you won items in this auction and do not see an invoice email from us on Wednesday night, please go check your Junk email folder or sign onto the auction site, click on the 3 white bars on the top right, then ‘My Account’, then ‘Invoice Purchases’ to see your new invoice. Also, look for an important email from us Wednesday night with all details on payment, pick-ups, delivery, and shipping. Note – We do not hold credit card information, so you must take action to pay your invoice. Also, since our goal is to clear the house by Saturday, all items in your winning lots must be taken.

COVID-19 Compliant Details:

1. No Preview – all Preview Events are cancelled due to COVID until further notice. We hope that our descriptions and pictures are good enough to ensure confidence in bidding. This will help us keep you, our employees and the house as safe as possible.
2. Scheduled Pick-up Times – on your electronic invoice there will be a link to select an open appointment time for pick-ups. Just select your time and show up within your window. If you need to pack or stage items, you are welcome to come early and prep your items before you drive your vehicle into the driveway for your appointed time, provided we can adhere to social distancing inside. We will give detailed pickup instructions in our email that will go out Wednesday night. If you purchase many or bulky items, consider signing up for 2 appointment times (Example: 2:00 and 2:30). Do not arrive at house outside of our Friday/Saturday pick-up times and do not disturb the family please.
3. Affordable Front Door Delivery Option – stay home and let us arrange delivery to your door. Most deliveries at $100. More for distance and bulky items. Send us an email requesting delivery after auction ends. We will confirm the fee and schedule your delivery for Saturday. You will pay the delivery company directly – cash preferred.
4. Alternate Pick-ups for Small Items Only – want us to bring your small items back to the warehouse for pick-ups? We can do that too. Let us know before Friday if you would like to schedule. Pick-ups will be Sunday, Nov 1^st at 1:00pm (1411 Delaware Avenue, Lexington). FEE: $5 per lot (fits in a normal Ale-8 box) or $10 per lot for heavier or larger lots. Not all lots are part of this offer – no furniture, no very large or heavy lots. We reserve the right to charge more, if not scheduled upfront or if lots are difficult to move. Remember – you need to pay your invoice on-time, even when planning to use this option. Bring cash to pay the fee.
