The cartoon depicts the Statue of Liberty on the left, and a nude mockery of it on the right in a thought bubble that trails from the head of Jimmy Carter. The cartoon comments on the interview that Jimmy Carter had with Playboy magazine, during which he admitted to having "looked on a lot of women with lust," and to having "committed adultery in [his] heart many times." FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT PRESIDENTIAL LETTER OPENERS Acquired from the estate of Dr. James Johnson (Manchester, Georgia), a local physician who attended to Roosevelt at Warm Springs, GA where Roosevelt spent a great deal of time receiving treatment for Polio. A pair of letter openers made of a jeweled sterling silver blade and green onyx handle decorated with a Mayan style motif. This pair of letter openers were given by Franklin D. Roosevelt to Dr. Johnson during the period in which Dr. Johnson attended to Roosevelt in Warm Springs. The set is accompanied by a letter from A. Eugene Brown explaining how he acquired these openers from the Johnson estate by way of his sister who was married to Dr. Johnson's son. The letter goes on to explain these openers as being presidential gift items given by the President of Mexico to Franklin D. Roosevelt. Size: 5.25" & 8.5"

A highly ornate 3-tier sterling silver desk pen,decorated with numerous and varied gold overlay. This pen set is reported to have been given by Franklin D. Roosevelt to Dr. Johnson during the period in which Dr. Johnson attended to Roosevelt in Warm Springs. The pen was acquired from A. Eugene Brown who operated a drug store in Manchester, GA and whose sister was married to Dr. Johnson's son. The document is signed by James Irvin(1735-1819) a considerable political and military figure in Pennsylvania history. He served in the provincial Pennsylvania militia during the French and Indian war and reached the rank of Major General, then retired in 1793. Irvin was held as a prisoner of war by the British for nearly 4 years. After his military service he held numerous state political positions to include a seat on the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania, the Vice-Presidency of Pennsylvania, and a seat in the State Senate. ROOSEVELT PRESIDENTIAL LETTER OPENERS Acquired from the estate of Dr. James Johnson (Manchester, Georgia), a local physician who attended to Roosevelt at Warm Springs, GA where Roosevelt spent a great deal of time receiving treatment for Polio. A pair of letter openers made of a jeweled sterling silver blade and green onyx handle decorated with a Mayan style motif. This pair of letter openers were given by Franklin D. Roosevelt to Dr. Johnson during the period in which Dr. Johnson attended to Roosevelt in Warm Springs. The set is accompanied by a letter from A. Eugene Brown explaining how he acquired these openers from the Johnson estate by way of his sister who was married to Dr. Johnson's son. 1785 PENNSYLVANIA LAND GRANT SIGNED BY JAMES IRVIN A Pennsylvania land grant of 426 acres allotted to a John Mclellan. The document is signed by James Irvin(1735-1819) a considerable political and military figure in Pennsylvania history. He served in the provincial Pennsylvania militia during the French and Indian war and reached the rank of Major General, then retired in 1793. Irvin was held as a prisoner of war by the British for nearly 4 years. After his military service he held numerous state political positions to include a seat on the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania, the Vice-Presidency of Pennsylvania, and a seat in the State Senate. FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT PRESIDENTIAL LETTER OPENERS Acquired from the estate of Dr. James Johnson (Manchester, Georgia), a local physician who attended to Roosevelt at Warm Springs, GA where Roosevelt spent a great deal of time receiving treatment for Polio. A pair of letter openers made of a jeweled sterling silver blade and green onyx handle decorated with a Mayan style motif. This pair of letter openers were given by Franklin D. Roosevelt to Dr. Johnson during the period in which Dr. Johnson attended to Roosevelt in Warm Springs. The set is accompanied by a letter from A. Eugene Brown explaining how he acquired these openers from the Johnson estate by way of his sister who was married to Dr. Johnson's son. The letter goes on to explain these openers as being presidential gift items given by the President of Mexico to Franklin D. Roosevelt. Size: 5.25" & 8.5"

1785 PENNSYLVANIA LAND GRANT SIGNED BY JAMES IRVIN A Pennsylvania land grant of 426 acres allotted to a John Mclellan. The document is signed by James Irvin(1735-1819) a considerable political and military figure in Pennsylvania history. He served in the provincial Pennsylvania militia during the French and Indian war and reached the rank of Major General, then retired in 1793. Irvin was held as a prisoner of war by the British for nearly 4 years. After his military service he held numerous state political positions to include a seat on the Supreme Executive Council of Pennsylvania, the Vice-Presidency of Pennsylvania, and a seat in the State Senate.
